Does anyone know if a 2006 Honda CRF250 that had been converted by Service Honda into a Honda AFX500, using the cr500 motor, will be green or red stickered? Does DMV follow the Vin# regardless or will they take into account the new frame sticker which shows "2007 Service Honda AFX500"?

It will be red sticker either way.

The '06 CRF is red sticker, and even if taken as a new model, the '07 Service Honda would also be a red sticker model.

Bros does anyone know if a 2006 Honda CRF250 that had been converted by my bros at Service Honda into a Honda AFX500, using the cr500 motor, will be green or red stickered? If the frame is originally an X model then yes. If it's originally an R model frame then no. The CA DMV will follow the Vin # & won't even consider that SH or anyone else has put a sticker on it saying it's an X model.
I had my battles with them with the green / red sticker BS when it first took effect in 2002.

I would go in asking for a green sticker and let them tell you that it isn't possible rather than asking them what you can get.

lmao I wouldn't wait 2 hours at the DMV for a guaranteed rejection. This would literally never work.
