Qualifying Results - Red Bull Straight Rhythm
Timed qualifying went down on Friday at Red Bull Straight Rhythm 2015 in Pomona, as the riders got to know their way around the track prior to the race on Saturday. The 2015 Straight Rhythm track was once again bigger and gnarlier than Straight Rhythms of years past, but some blazing fast times were laid down as the riders sorted themselves out for tomorrow's bracket.
Open Class:
In the Open class, it was Ken Roczen topping the times in his first ever go at Straight Rhythm with a blazing fast 42.3, positively annihilating the track builders’ goal of a fast lap in the neighborhood of one minute. Behind Roczen, Ryan Dungey and the finally-returned James Stewart rounded out the top three times, marking Stewart’s first time ever at Straight Rhythm without a “1” next to his name on the results.
Open class qualifying times:
1. Ken Roczen - 42.336
2. Ryan Dungey - 42.835
3. James Stewart - 43.025
4. Justin Brayton - 43.502
5. Dean Wilson - 43.521
6. Josh Hansen - 44.117
7. Kyle Partridge - 44.405
8. Vince Friese - 44.425
9. Andrew Short - 44.802
10. Kyle Chisholm - 44.901
11. Mike Alessi - 45.285
12. Thomas Ramette - 45.925
13. Adam Enticknap - 46.921
14. Nick Schmidt - 48.593
15. Deven Raper - 49.006
16. Tevin Tapia - 52.729
Lites Class:
There was a Stewart at the top of the times in the Lites class, however, as Malcolm Stewart took the pole position in the small-bore division. Like his big brother, this was the young Stewart’s first race back in quite some time, having sat out the entire AMA Pro Motocross Nationals, but he and his GEICO Honda do not seem to have missed a beat. Malcolm edged out the Troy Lee Designs KTM ace Jessy Nelson for the top spot, with Nelson's teammate Shane McElrath coming in third.
Lites class qualifying times:
1. Malcolm Stewart - 44.108
2. Jessy Nelson - 44.450
3. Shane McElrath - 44.590
4. Jordon Smith - 44.632
5. RJ Hampshire - 44.711
6. Michael Leib - 45.303
7. Austin Politelli - 45.439
8. Matt Bisceglia - 46.068
Thanks!
I just realized that the MEC is next weekend too? I'm out of the loop as of late.

It's genius to bypass the cable TV companies, but you gotta provide the goods.
