Is it just me, or does this not seem nearly as crazy as Maddo dropping off that Arch last year?

I don't think I want to see the stunt that's crazier than Maddo's last year.

I was talking about Maddo's jump the other day with some friends.

I could have been talked or paid into jumping up that, but no way I would jump off that sucker...

TP199 has A LOT of risk in it as well though. What if he is knocked out underwater? What if he lands in the side of it think of the impact and G's there on the body, plus the water part...

Even if he lands perfectly the brakes could fail from the impact or loose a wheel or axle who knows...

BTW, what is the water temp like out there right now? 60's?

I know I'd rather be in the car. I wonder why Robbie didn't get the call after delivering the goods the last few years.

I agree, that photo with him looking over the edge it nutz! Look at the up ramp, the people look like ants. I just saw a video of greaves jumping a monster energy off road truck 301 feet on you tube, It kinda makes the car jump not as interesting. I like both guys. Good luck travis!!

I would do that car jump repeatedly, under the influence of non-prescribed medication

and ten imported lagers, with my mother-in-law in the backseat and

angry rap music blaring for weeks on end - before I'd even think of doing the

Robbie MADison bike jump on and off the Frenchie Vegas ARC.

TP's jump is a little crazy, Maddo's was severe LUNACY.

And so, it is written.

Sounds like lame reasoning, but Pastrana is a better personality, comes with a massive following, is good on camera and a much bigger name all round. Makes sense Redbull would like, or prefer, to rope in Travis to have him represent them during one of their most visible PR stunts. Both are totally wild in my book.. Good luck!

It's like you took the words right off my keyboard, drenched it in British sarcasm, and put it on the screen.

so what exactly is he doing again? I forget. Just jumping over it in a rally car?

And I'm the opposite as everyone else on maddo's jump, I'd MUCH rather do the jump down than up.

My whole life growing up i was the same way, i would go down anything, ironically it was a downhill that ended it all.

From what i have read/heard, each of the RB athletes submit an idea for a New Years stunt, and RB picks what they want to go with.

*I think it was in one of the ESPN Travis interviews he explained it, and he was surprised they picked his this year.

if they pick a red bull athlete... they should have stewart scrub a 200 foot jump between two giant horizontal saw blades next year. that would be a good way to one up stuff.

on topic... there's no way i'd jump up or down that maddo jump.... nor would i ever be caught dead in that rally car jumping from land to barge.

Travis is a Red Bull athlete. Idk if BobbyM was misunderstood or not. And this jump is nowhere near as crazy as either of Maddo's jumps, but I'm glad he didnt do anything this year bc that man does so much crazy stuff he needs to chill

After watching off-road trucks jumping lately, it's weird how much he aero affects how they fly. If a truck got a little wind underneath it, it would just take off in a nose-up attitude. You can tap the brakes or panic rev all you want, and it's not helping.

If he's gonna do it, he has to do it right and add the shark tank.

How far is it......anyone remember hearing? Good luck TP, that water sure looks cold.
12/31/2009 4:28pm
Tiki,

Local paper reports "sharks" as a danger if he does crash off the ramp LOL Smile .
Fire department stated on the local news, it will only take 30 seconds to retrieve him if he does plunge in the shark infested bay Cool .

I just can't watch for the simple fact...

If the sharks eat the firefighters then nobody is available to save Travis. Pinch

If he takes a digger in the watery stuff will he get arrested for polluting again ?

I'd rather be sat at home in front of the fire with a can of beer in my hand and ten in my tummy.. which is what I'll be doing.
