I'm lazy, I tried to dig up some lap times from Dilla but failed, but in the vids about half time during moto 1 in 450 Dungey, DeSalle and Stew was 2:07 compared to Barcia, Canards etc with 2:12. That's a pretty big diff.

In moto two the diff was less though. 2:11 RD, Desalle compared to 2:13 for CP, Canard. These where half in, so I don't know if CP did a 2:11 towards the end?

Anyway, rather big diff? I honestly thought the 450 where slighty faster, but not this much faster? I suggest bikes since RD and CP where pretty even last year?

Any thoughts?

I figure the 250 starts before the 450, so the track would be even faster for them in Moto 1? Or if it's the other way around the times makes a bit more sense, still the 450s moto two are faster than 250 moto one though...

I believe stewart did a 2:05 in practice.

I think its just because the track in the morning is like a freeway, but gets bumpier as the day goes on.

But don't they start with 250 moto1? I assume they have a better track than when the 450 do their moto 1?

I'm not sure it's really significant on this track. Some parts like "screw whatever" (don't remember the name) required a lot of horse power. 450's could easily gain 2 sec there for an exemple...

Make sense. I'm sure other tracks migh show a diff story, but the Wick will not be one of them...

250s go 2nd now, so they do have a more beat up track in both motos. Some tracks it is much closer if not faster for the 250s. The same thing existed though back when RV was on a 250 and Stewart was on a 450. A few times RV turned a faster fast lap during the race. Unadilla 2008, RV had a faster qualifying time over Stewart.

Looked like there were a few sections the 450 were getting through easier on the webcast.

Depends on the track, but it certainly wasn't close this week. 450s had 'dilla covered.

I have been living in Sweden for 38 years! So yes? Sick

I have newer experience a Nats in person, and I only see the vids and results afterwards and it's not really showing what goes first.

But of course I could have done some research. In the GPs the MX2 goes first if I remember correctly.

Any, good info. This levels things some and I can keep my 250f it seems! Blush
