So my wife gets this new book for our little girl called Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls. I happen to be looking through it and see this

Considering the company she is in with this book (pretty much loaded cover to cover with amazing women) I think it's really awesome that they acknowledged Ashley the way they did. Ashley is an awesome role model for young girls and has exposed a lot of them to motocross for the first time.

Ashley is cool, OP's partisan 2 stroke signature is silly.

I've always thought Ashley was very cool. Saw a raw video of her riding her Husqvarna TC125 recently...and she hauls serious ass on that little smoker!

FlaNard, will you ask your wife where she bought it? I see it on Amazon for $35. Want to see if I can get it cheaper somewhere else. Thanks for posting. Smile

Edit: Nevermind. Did some more digging. Seems worth the money to me. Bought it. I have awhile though until I get to read it. Expecting my first born in about 4 weeks. Smile

In with some good company.Cool
Too bad they left out that she was the 1st American woman to have a full factory salaried ride with Honda. When the women's series raced with the men's Outdoor National series she pitted out of the Honda semi with the big boys.

I've seen her help out other racers and she's always been an absolute class act.

Pssst...riding 2 strokes as of late, too.

I'll never forget when she gave her trophy from Freestone to a handy capped person.

I am a typical male motocross racer who was growing up in the perfect era for mx,the 70s. I raced high school motocross, ( we got beat by some rag tag bunch of ringers (who amassed a serious few championships. We did turn out one future factory yamaha rider , teamate to RJ guesses?)out of some El Cajon place.. After school, and sometimes during , we would ride our bikes from high school and help build Arroyo Cycle park. Now known as Glen Helen. I onced raced my Malcom Smith sorta sponsored (he was my neighbor) hodge podge of assorted year and models parts, at Corona,in a full length walking cast, the parts, all donated and advised by MS. It was fast! And,,,unusual,,looking..But fast! I believe that the only rule needed in all of MX-dom, is the rule of revenge as it was known before it all gota big safe hug,(and blue and yellow flags, red point leaders plates,ARGG!) and that rule was,,if I do this guy wrong,,,he will be waiting when I come around nextlap and will torpedo me back to last week.I'm tough! In all my years only Rex Staten ever made me afraid. (And pee a little bit) Point ofall this is, if I am ever asked who, in all the history of Motocross and Supercross is my hero, the "guy" I look up too? I will look up and without hesitation say "Ashley Fu**ing Fiolek! ! NOT because she isdeaf, though that obstacle overcomeis part of it.NOT because she is a girl, an advantage I think. When was the last time you saw a girl rolled into ball, puking, after busting balls ona fuel tank. Not becauseshe is so f-ing fast , and has a badass riding style. A bit like Doug Henry I think. Its all of that, and once seeing her tough out a moto with a freshly broken collarbone!! That's fortitude! I wish I was half as tough.Or fast!!

What age level is the book meant for?

One copy coming up for my daughter! She's five, very confident and Ashley's expression right there reminds me of my own little one.

She raced 85’s with all the boys at the amateur races. I was sitting in staging with my son and she was the following moto. She noticed me staring at her, while she was signing to her dad and when she was done, I let her know I knew sign language 🤟🏼 and created a conversation with her and her dad at the same time. She was super excited that I knew how to sign and started talking/signing way too fast for me. I started laughing and asked her to downshift so I could keep up. We all had a little laugh, I have been a fan of hers since... she was dating Trey Canard (maybe Trey’s first girlfriend?) at one time. They seemed happy together, but they were just kids. Dating a deaf girl would have its challenges.... I’ve since ridden with her at Zaca a few years ago when she got her Husky 125. She was faster than I had anticipated !
Ashley was Full Factory Honda at one time, her bikes were legit !
