father Andrew McFarlane.
RIP Andrew McFarlane from the entire team at JDR Motorex KTM Racing. Together the
motorcycle community will embrace your family and forever hold you in our memory.

That's what I figured too, what's the big deal? It's a nice way of remembering someone who loved the sport I think.

It would have been his birthday today.

Hope that clears it up.

I doubt even Chad Reed would be in anyway offended by the birthday memory of his friend. I'm quite sure MXA meant that as an honor and nothing else.

Maybe, maybe not. It's not great editing.

Really they should have put a note to say RIP, or McFarlane would have been 35, he will be missed or similar

I shot pepsi out of my nose when I read that. Funny shit. According to mxa every single fucking bike in production needs a new offset clamp and a tooth in the rear cog. Space shuttle? 22mm offset. Sherman tank? Add two teeth to keep it in the meat of the powerband. Hubble telescope? Dr. D Lowering kit for the rads and a -2 remap to lean out the midrange.

So the way this looks according to most of you "Happy Birthday Andrew" I hope to see Jim Pomeroy and others on the birthday list soon. (sarcasm)

Seams to me very disrespectful. I knew Sharky. I was fortunate enough to with him back in 2007 awesome guy with a great fam. He deserves a proper tribute and this was not. RIP Sharky.

Don't think they meant any disrespect. All the late greats make the birthday list Big E. Maybe you missed some of the other stuff from years past? I seem to recall more from them regarding Sharky, but a quick google got this.

And from before Andrew passed away.

You guys will argue over anything. The OP has a little validity to what he is saying. Adding some verbiage to say "Godspeed our friend" or something of that nature would have helped that a bit. If I was just someone thumbing through the magazine and not knowing anything about Andrew, I would have just thought that was a weird photo for a happy birthday to an average joe racer.

It is cool of MXA to give tribute to Andrew, but more **words** to make that personal were needed.

They probably did when he first passed. This was just an annual way to remember a respected rider Posted a picture of him smiling and enjoying what he loved on his birthday, how is that in any way shape or form disrespectful? Sure they could have elaborated and given it more effort but it was not disrespectful.

I'll add another vote for ultra sensitive E. Most birthday lists will include famous people both living and not. Birthday boys was probably a bad title but I see nothing but respect in it.
