Realist of the real.

Who is the most realist die hard pro rider these days. I'm talking about the guy who never complains, never has an excuse and has fun and smiles and rides no matter the team or bike or conditions. What rider to do you guys think?

Top Jimmy Albertson

Jimmy is always so positive, upbeat and genuinely appreciative of being in the sport and the help that he recieves.

I would say Nick Wey.

He is a racer's racer, and a genuine guy. Been at this sport for years, kinda knows his place in the pecking order ( top 8 - 15 ), has fun with it, no cocky sense of entitlement. I'm a fan!

RV...when he doesn't win you don't see him throw an attitude. Im sure he gets pissed behind the scenes (who wouldn't?) but he's also professional.

Another one that comes to mind is Kyle Regal...we dont see much in the media from him but the dude has speed and he's been getting jerked around since he turned pro. If anyone deserves a ride its him (for outdoors anyways)

x2

Ever since he came to the GP's that one year, as well as doing some commentary with Paul Malin a couple of times while injured - Iv'e been a fan. He comes across as a very likeable, down to earth person.

I think all the top Pros deserve a lot of credit to get to that level but hard to argue that RV is not the realist of the real deals. He seems to be walking on that other higher level just like the GOAT did.

So to keep it real I can't complain about a track being shitty? Whats the defintion of keepin it real though? What if i really think the track is shitty?

If my bike sucks or my front end is diving or something for example I can't tell nobody on tv? I mean surely I should tell my mechanic and "not keep it real" to address it, but then I going to "keep it extra really real" and lie and tell the people that don't really know me (you) that my set up was good on tv.... Blink

Really though I'm pretty sure all these dudes "keep it real" and love their jobs out there racing. If they didn't, and took it for granted, then they probably would just kinda fall off the scene.

I dunno about RV... he slips every now and then, and when he does, you can tell he thinks he is the shit and everyone else sucks. Like the interview he did after his injury. He was like, "It's easy to come back. I mean, it's easy to do the therapy." The way he said it, to me, it was like, "This shit is pretty easy because the others aren't that good."

Metty.
Him too!

Very good attitude, not cocky, been at it for a long time, there for his sponsers, doesn't get uppity or arrogant when he has a good ride or finish ( ahem........Alessi )..........I like Metty too!
