A cross between that and a husky it looks like. With the exhaust off of a Bennelli.

just not the same without the looping exhaust in the front. It does look very much like the old 70's version. I would like to see Bultaco come back.

4 stroke... blah. i will never forget the first pursang i rode, i was 14 and still on 80's, it was scary fast, especially with no front brake and the rear on the opposite side... nearly killed myself.
hmmm, maybe the first bul i rode was a bandito (sp?)

Trey had a 50cc Pursang back in the mid '90's. Thing was bullet fast, and impossible to start.

A little more info and a link to the New Pursang blogspot. The copy states they will be using a Sherco 450 F.I. motor.

http://pursangmotors.blogspot.com/

Almost a year ago, we presented the project Pursang 450, a fascinating new interpretation of the cross bike, which was proposed by two young designers, who continue to develop their project, to outline the new features and program the implementation of the first prototype. Publish the first two images of the final draft, waiting to see it and touch. In the video, we propose that after the "continue" we can also see how the two founders have stuck to tradition in history (the name derives from a Pursang Bultaco bikes of the '70s), to the benefit of the passion that exudes from this project, we'll keep an eye on. Compared to the original idea, have changed the units of the chassis and superstructures, evolved with the maturing of both the project and finally has reached the final configuration that will transfer Pursang from CAD to reality. The chassis is aluminum and the molds are ready, the estimated time of production of the first unit is expected in about 3 months, and will be powered by engines Sherco 4.5 injection.

1977 M193 Bultaco Pursang 370 Mk10, was a sweet ride right as the Asian onslaught was taking over.

The Asian onslaught was going full-house in '73 with $900 Elsinore250 and YZ250 lining showrooms at dealerships.

I paid $775 for a new '73 Yamaha MX250 at Burt Sugarman's Hollywood Yamaha.

I'd like this one to come back to, not going to happen since it's owned by honda. But someone could make a cool Cappra graphics for the CRF Smile

We never got these 125 Montesas in the states; just 250 and Open after '73 or 4; think they changed to VRs in/or after '74 or 5.

Too bad the pic I took below is B/W..

Old NorCal friend racing an open expert class '77 VR at Est. Think they had 410cc motors thereabouts..was a beautiful bike.

You could get the Yamaha MX models for $900-$1000, but the '74 YZ 250/360A models were very limited, and the price for the YZ's in '74 was nearly double of a standard MX model. The YZ 360A was pushing $1800 out the door. The 250 was $1600 and change.

New '83 YZ 250 was $1999 retail before taxes, etc....those gray tanked, black strapped '74s worth a mint today were rather pricy back then.

Wish could find a decent '72-'77 125 Pursang or like the '78 250 in pic at a reasonable price that prob needs work.

Given the inflation since then, those ' 74 prices make the 2010 YZF450 seen positively cheap in comparison!
