The elephant in the room is the story under the green tent here in the pits. Before last weekend in Moncton, there was a rumour floating around that defending MX2 champ Austin Politelli wasn't there or that he wasn't going to race, or both. Well, as crazy as I thought that sounded ....

@directmx: Great battle for 3rd w Maff, Swanson and Wentland. Benoit way out front after 3 then Friese who had rocks thrown at him earlier.

@directmx: Friese down w Karel Benoit on last lap and KB had 'difficulty' getting their bikes separated...a few times. 719 dropped way back.

Both classes should be very interesting. I can see Friese getting VERY aggressive in moto 2. And anything could happen with Alessi in moto 2.

If Alessi finishes 3rd or worse, yes, by my math. I believe the gap is 46 points heading to moto 2.
