So what's the scoop? Facciotti got 14th!? That probably means the points are just about even or with Mike in the lead now!?!

The race hasn't run yet. I think you're looking at the pre-entry list (which he is 14th on the list).

My god, the announcers hate Mike Alessi. Mike's bike is going bad, Colton's catching him and the announcers are saying bike looks fine from here. Everyone get around the track and root for your Canadian legend who is catching Alessi. Then, Mike has no grip and they admit there's a problem.

I understand that Canadian's want their boy to win, but announcers/journalists are supposed to at least fake being non bias.

Now, I want to know, who and the hell sent Alessi to the line with a loose grip. Jesus, they've already fired 3/4 of that team..

Canadians get stereo typed as being super nice but I know a lot of Canadians through hockey and they can't stand Americans and talk sh*t about us all the time (stupid, lazy and arrogant are the most common ones I hear). I think they have small-mans complex of countries.

I agree, I notice the bias against Alessi in the broadcasts that I've listened to. I don't care for it either, I'd prefer that they give him more credit than they do.

ChrisB, you sure they're not just talking about you? Generally speaking I don't hear much of what you are referring to up here. Sounds like a personal problem.

Yeah, I'm not even concerned about them giving Mikey credit, but they made it sound like Mikey was just making excuses when Colton was catching him. Normally when a rider points at their bike and are pounding on the end of their grip you wonder what's wrong, not pretty much say he's just making excuses. And the urging the fans to gather around the track to root for their Canadian legend was overkill. I've never heard anything like what I listened to today.

I get a similar feeling listening to Paul Malin's bias during MXoN, but that race is designed to bring out your patriotic side. Not to mention, Paul was actually on team GBR when they stopped the Americans dominance. So because of that I give him some slack. He also is not nearly at blatant as those Canadian jokers I listened to today.

That's inexcusable for an announcer.I heard a similar thing one time during a GP race-I wanted to reach through the TV and smack the guy in the head.
I'd like to see CF get it.On the other hand,I was watching the coverage of the Calgary round today and MA looked way smooth and fast.He looked to have an extra gear on everyone else.Wow.Can't wait to see it live in Riverglade in a couple weeks.Cool BTW,there was no bias in the Calgary broadcast I noticed-just the opposite really.Maybe they've changed as the series goes on-or maybe they're more politically correct when they voice over the tv coverage.Hopefully they'll correct that for the next round.

No irony in that post.

Despite what most Canadians say, the majority of them would move to America in a heartbeat. Most Canadians who talk shit about people from the US have never talked to an American for more then half an hour.

You weigh the remaining gas in the tank after a moto and calculate distance travelled using a GPS.

I don't recall those guys doing the same when metcalfe or georke were racing, maybe they were given the same contract as Steve was given?
