Forecast said sunny for today and Saturday just 2 days ago.

They cant predict the weather 2 days out yet the same people predict good fishing in downtown Miami by 2025.

Pouring like crazy in Carlsbad. The next 6 days are going to suck. Sick of riding in the mud!

The first band of shit weather just came through here in Venice. Sunny now, but there is another pile just off-shore moving in later this evening, and one or two more behind that. Surf gets giant as well, so there is definitely some juice pushing these systems through.
Hopefully it gets the job done before Saturday

Same as the last two weeks, track is built and tarped, won't be un-tarped until Saturday morning with reduced practices.

First storm is passing east and second one is in here tomorrow and done by Saturday early am. Interesting thing I heard regarding the high surf. They are expecting 30' face in OC and SD and pushing 100' at Mavericks (great movie) this weekend just south of San Fran. If everything is tarped as ML stated above, they'll just need to keep the pumps going to keep as much of the water off the infield and pull the tarps Saturday am and be good to go.

That movie is fantastic. I've never surfed so I don't know if surfers hate it (like most athletes do with movies about their sport) but I absolutely loved it.

Isn't there a major drought out west? I would think rain would make people happy.

The rain is nearly meaningless, we need the snowpack in the Sierra's.

you would think so, but this is California. They always find something to bitch about.

I love the rain though. I say bring it on!

Is that even possible? To be sick of riding in the mud with a dirt bike? How many years did it take?

Our house in the mountains got 9 feet out of the last storm.
Mostly heavy wet snow too. Lots of water content.

Does Dirt Wurx pump the water off the tarps of just dump it back into the track during removal?

I believe they route the hoses outside the stadiums.

So awesome! What are you guys supposed to get over the next 4-5 days? Our house is at about 4k and Wunderground is saying something like 3-4ft, which is quite a bit for being this low. You guys would probably be at least twice that.
