Bummed for Herlings, and for the bit of deflation of expectations for Unadilla. Got me to thinking go other races that didn't line up, but could have been epic.

Stew on the team as 125 rider in 2004 at Lierop, for example.

A focused Pastrana against RC, Reedy and Stewart would have made for some incredible seasons.

Stewbaby vs. Dunge, Southwick 2010

And when Tomac crashed chasing down Roczen in Germany last year.

Pastrana staying in the 250 class for a title would have been awesome!

2004 Reed vs RC in SX. I think Reedy could still have taken the title.

2006 desnations RC out after crash at glen helen, missed our chance to see RC JS RV team in England
Still an amazing event with SE72 (last outing) TC222 winning on 250f

also agree on the TP comments he definitly had something for those guys in 02/03

Mickael Pichon and Ricky Carmichael - 2002.

Mickael was very fast at this time and full of confidence. On most tracks my money would've been on RC, but either way we were ultimately robbed of that encounter after the disaster that was the 2002 MXDN (other than A3 2003, which just isn't the same).

Bummed that Windham was the only top US guy to show up at the USGP in '99. Correct?

What've you got?

Reed vs everts at the mx des nations at namur in 2001! reed rode great first moto and won, everts rode his first moto great and won- chad crashed in the final moto (when they were in the same class) - could have been a great race!

would have loved to see RC at lierop des nations 2004 vs everts and de reuver! also stewart round lierop on the 125 would have been interesting!

2006 mx des nations i would have liked to see RC racing- everts would have taken some beating that day!!!

agree with the pichon comments, also the pastrana comments! i think travis could have taken alot of titles away from RC if he had been fully focused on racing moto and not all the other things. Also feel like we might have been robbed some good races with heplers terrible luck with getting injured- he had the talent and speed to run with anyone on his day, if he could have managed to stay in one peice it would have been interesting

herlings racing in the states this year not happening has spoilt what would have no doubt been a great race

i think tortelli could have given RC a better run for his money if he managed to stay in one peice for longer too- one of the only riders that had RC beaten on US soil! on his day tortelli was VERY fast! same with ben townley- he had some great battles with everts in 06, and with RV in 07. You have to think if it wasnt for the injury problems he would have been right there battling with the big dogs for race wins from 07 onwards

The epic battle between mark Barnett and I in 1983 never materialized like I wouldve hoped.

Yeah, I am pretty sure K-dub was the only one to show up. I have to go through my pictures from the event to confirm, but I remember him being the only big name to show up. Not many fans showed up from what I remember either.

Here's a race I wish would happen. MC vs RC vs Emig vs Windham at the 2015 MEC. I know they're older, so make it a one moto, 5 lap sprint for bragging rights. Then we can enjoy the jabs at each other in the booth all through the SX season. Any other 30+ former pros can join in as well.

Non moto - sorry

Marquez vs Stoner (thriller)

......this should have gone down

Everts vs RC MXDN (Everts last year cant remember)

Don't think that's a good race bud. Ricky is younger, still rides a lot and was faster then... Assume he's still faster now!

Probably right, but I like to think that it would still be a good battle seeing as how Windham is probably "fresher" when it comes to running race pace since he was the last to retire, and Emig and MC both seem to still be pretty fit and fast. I'd say RC would still win, but I think it'd be cool to see none the less.

2006 the RV, JS, RV wrecking ball that shoulda happened for the MXDN. Unfortunatly RC hurting his shoulder causing him to miss sucked for everyone.

2002-2004 James never riding a MXDN on a 125 is a fucking shame and whoever that could or could not make that happen sucks.

Really would have liked to see James Stewart in his "Bubba" days running his 125cc in the "250/450F" class.

As for current times I'd like to see the top 250 class guys go head to head with the "premier" class on any track today and see how many would end up on the podium.
