Looks like the 250 Suzuki team is going to be Dirt Candy. Also found it interesting that Hahn will be riding for Team Rockwell, instead of Crossland.

Smartop/MotoConcepts Racing
#800 Mike Alessi 450SX
#55 Vince Friese 450SX

Others
#84 Jimmy Albertson – Albertson has something in the works for 2016, but at time of posting, he was unable to reveal the details. Matt Goerke, who won the Canadian MX1 Championship in 2015, is expected to be on this team as well for Monster Energy Supercross. Goerke will return to Canada this summer with Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha.

#24 Brett Metcalfe – Metcalfe will once again spend his summer in Canada, having signed with the Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha team. At this time, it’s unknown if Metcalfe will race Monster Energy Supercross in 2016. He raced the first six rounds in 2015.

#11 Kyle Chisholm – One way or another Chisholm says he’ll be racing in 2016. He’s in the process of putting together everything yet again for Team Chiz, this time with better support, but has also drawn the attention of a few teams. He has yet to decide which option is best for him.

#22 Chad Reed – Reed has been working with Yamaha to try to build a factory-backed effort, probably with support from Monster Energy and Discount Tire. He rode a Yamaha at the Monster Energy Cup, but nothing regarding the 2016 season has been finalized.

#33 Josh Grant – One of the big players still on the market, Grant spent last year with Discount Tire/TwoTwo Motorsports, before filling in at Monster Energy Kawasaki after TwoTwo folded. At this time, it’s not known what Grant will do next year.

#27 Nick Wey – Will Wey race one more season? If he does, expect it to be a supercross-only deal like 2015.

#52 Ben LaMay – We haven’t heard what LaMay’s plans are for 2016. He started 2015 with CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha, and ended it on a Munn Racing Husqvarna.

#60 Matt Lemoine – Lemoine raced for JAB Motorsports Kawasaki in 2015, but halfway through the Nationals the team went off the road due to lack of funding. We’ll see where he ends up for 2016.

#75 Josh Hill – Josh Hill announced his retirement from professional racing this off-season. He has taken on a role with Monster Energy. We will have more with Hill early next week.

Why would he not ride East on a 450 ? The dude is like 32 and would be nice to see him do something different then a regional deal. The guy has great style and I would like to see him on a bigger bike.

figured that if he ran the 450, might as well run the whole series in it.

Does Phil N get to race all SX or will he be a fill in as last year for JGR. I hope he gets to race - he deserves it.

Sounds like it'll be the same as last year, fill-in for SX with a number of guaranteed races and then the full Outdoor series

Kinda confused as to why Hill was put on that list .......I guess because he just retired, however he IS retired and did announce it (sort-of) .....unless he plans on racing a few rounds? That would be cool meow

Dude is such a waste. Cannot believe teams keep picking him up. Give the ride to young dudes coming up not some 10 year vet in the class who can't keep it together for a season

Usually I would say this is very harsh. But this is getting ridiculous. It's like Grant. Injury after injury. Still gets good rides because he's got the potential to win one race. And that's what matters. Poor guy will surely pay the price when he gets older.

I'd tend to agree. I think Davalos seems like a good dude and he's definitely had some bad luck. But come on already...we're on what, 10 years as a factory 250 rider? What does he have to show for it besides two wins and a scattering of podiums? Not that he doesn't deserve a ride but I guess I don't understand how dudes like him keep getting lucrative factory contracts. There have got to be some up-and-comers or privateers who would make better use of a factory 250f for probably less money than Martin gets paid.

Millsaps, Grant and Weimer are in the same boat in the 450 class, IMO. Lots and lots of money spent for years of mediocrity and the occasional podium.

The thing is Davalos was on his way to win a 250 SX title, but threw a chain in practice. Millsaps and Weimer have both won championships. And there's also this deal, when you have a rider on the team like Ryan Villopoto you won't get the second fastest rider. You secure him being comfortable, that might mean you sign a guy that works well around him. Grant still getting rides like I said because he can still haul the mail while fit. I'm pro more rides, not only the top dogs getting good rides. So don't get me wrong on that. If the 40th guy in outdoors would get the same ride as the fastest I would be very pleased. But that's not gonna happen.

My logic is I'm getting sick of people putting riders down and saying they're all crap if they aren't winning. According to the logic of many around here, if you're not getting better than about fifth, you must be trash, a waste of talent, and should be thrown to the wolves. This industry, and the fans mostly, have such a one-way street push them off a cliff way of thought at times... It's ridiculous! DJ, you fit right in with Grayson, negative about riders on the forum in almost every post.

the dude has been around for 10 years. In the same class. Where is his championship. Davalos' time has came and gone a very long time ago. It just amazes me people still pay him big chunks of money to win heat races. When up and coming kids that RIIIIP can't get a ride because dudes like davalos take up a spot.

That's a bummer. Thought he did well enough to get a full time ride. I don't want anyone to get hurt but if he gets in I hope he does well.

You know she is 4' 10" and bowl legged right? I am guessing there is 35-50 hours of photoshop work in that pic....

Start your own team and hire who you want to hire. Husky sees value in keeping Martin on one of their bikes, and it's their money. I've never understood why people with no vested interest in racing get upset about who teams decide to hire.
