Awesome. Carving the inside line in every turn. That's where Josh said it shined the most but couldn't show it at straight rythem.

I'm totally for them as a progression thing, but the idea of a bike being completely silent on a practice track, effectively eliminating one of the senses does worry me a bit.

What about screaming girls? I'm sure you'd hear that. Cool

hahaha... that's pretty good!

It'd be fine if it's an e-bike class, just like downhill mtb, just holler out.

But the e-bike out there with MX-Bikes, especially if the e-bike rider is faster... yikes.

The 'stealth attack' would be a major part of it.

And, we'd find out who screamed / squealed like a 17 year old female Utility Quad Racer......... Unsure

With the wailing / booming 4ts now, well, I can do the 'stealth attack' pretty bloody comprehensively on my CRE500, what with the 26" long muffler I've made. My mates say they can't hear me at all in group rides, and they regularly have near 'hearties' when I decide to give them a fright in corners.

they re essentially as fast as a 250f in terms of power. whether it would make a rider faster on a track is hard to say.

Riders ride as fast as they are comfortable, regardless of the bike they are on. maybe a laptime drops because he can clear a jump on a 450 that he wouldnt on a 125/250f, but beyond that...

I do not favor them racing along side gas engines. RC cars dont do it, auto racing doesnt do it, no reason MX should do it. But an E class sure

If you guys thought 4 strokes are too easy to ride, imagine a bike that makes max torque from a dead stop.

Probably doesn't hurt you don't need to rev that bloody thing either haha

Looks very impressive although I just can't see it ever entering the same class with combustion engines... I mean even if it is an equal power ratio, people would lose their minds if it ever won a race. I do think it is somewhat the future but it seems far off for competitive racing to "shift" from combustion to electric... although I swore up and down that four strokes wouldn't take over too so wtf do I know.

Wait til hybrid technology starts to show its face in MX, that's where we'll see a more realistic transition in my opinion.

No noise could really transform our sport throughout the world. How many tracks have we lost, or were refused building permission in the first place due to noise?

That problem could potentially end with this technology once it's advanced enough and affordable. Very exciting.

But the haters will always come out of the woodworks to voice they're disapproval so it could potentially not go all that far at the professional level

I am digging the evolution of this bike over the last few years, however they are always at places with no elevation, or fairly hard pack like Perris or Milestone. I would like to see how well it would do here in the midwest at like a redbud or Baja. Something alot softer and sandier.

I still think because people that hate dirtbikes now with ICE will find another avenue to block new tracks or shut others down if it went all electric ( erosion, dust, zoning, etc.) Fun police would make sure everyone is as miserable as them unfortunatly.

And has no gear box... Soon the bikes will just be on auto-pilot and we can just hang on for the ride.

I wonder how they will change the way lines develop on a track? Kind of like how 4 strokes changed things up.

Super cool. Someone will think of something for sound I'm sure.

Yep this is for sure one of the biggest plus points considering tracks. In my area there is allways allot of action to get tracks closed, mainly due to noise issues. (there is only 2 left within reasonable driving distance) These bikes would solve allot of that issue!

A popular accessory will be a sound generator tied to the motor controller. Now that we live in a digital age, one will be able to select 2- stroke, 4- stroke, top fuel V8, F-16.

The sound level will be adjustable, just like your stereo. Headphones when only you want to listen, external "exhaust" when at a race. Can't pass sound test? Turn the volume down. The possibilities are endless. :-)

Don't be a smartarse, Monkey Boy!

I regularly go (just) over 3,000 RPM, well, at least once or twice each ride.

And I hammer the pilot jet circuit, hard!
