i would love that lusk jersey and rc pants. newman and guyb are correct,i would pay more for my favorite rider than an rv one,even though his should be more valuable.

I also "may" have went on a spending spree for 1/12 scale die casts on ebay recently.
Totally agree with others that an item is worth what someone is willing to pay. Open market determines the price. I for one, will not pay $500-$1000 for one though. To me that is just insane, but hey to each their own. Dammit, now I'm off to eBay to see what is listed...

You will find that retired riders items are not worth what you would think. This sport is brutal the way it quickly forgets about past champions. You will get your best money for RVs right now and if listed correctly you will get $500+
If you want any significant amount for any RC gear you should try and sell it now while it still has some value.....it will drop each year as the new crop of riders take over the fans attention.
Some of the riders that have been retired for 10 yrs or so will most likely go for around $100 or less. Even MC gear is worth a fraction of what it would have pulled while he was racing.
And for the remarks about riders not giving this gear away to be sold. Most of the gear I accumulated over the years was via charity auctions and fantasy leagues. Regardless of how he obtained it these items are his to sell if he chooses.
