I was watching through "2 Be Continued" and noticed the parallels between the severity of RV's injury and Kenny's. RV wasn't that far off a compound fracture the way it looks. I know every injury is different and people heal differently but I really think Kenny will come back and win a lot of races and championships.

You can see it here:
2 Be Continued

or fast forward to 25:23 to see here:

I think Kenny will do fine when he comes back, but I'd take a lower leg injury all day over and arm/wrist injury...

You've never had a bad leg injury before or you wouldn't say that. I had a very similar break of the Tib/Fib, 13 screws and 2 Plates still in there.....it makes you question if it's worth it. Ask any person in a wheel chair if they would rather walk or loose the use of a arm or arms.

I did compound tib/fib to my left leg. I still have the rod and screws. I would not want to have gone through what Kenny did. That's way worse than what RV did. Kenny still have little movement of his wrist. Who knows if he will ever get that back.

Kenny is a bad ass, (hell anyone of us that rides moto is a bad ass) the big advantage Kenny has over the RV leg injury is that Kenny went into the injury in tip top shape. RV was out of shape and not as healthy as he could have been.

I would love to see Kenny come back and kick some ass and trade wins with Tomac but I highly doubt he will have the dominance that RV had....RV is one of a kind and in a league of his own.

Gory injury photos have become a freaky sideshow in motocross since RV wanted his broken legs put up on the big screen when he returned. I guess we can look forward to medical school-type photos every time a big rider gets hurt now.
Because it's soooo fun logging on to read about moto and getting treated with a close-up pic of somebody's mangled limb.

Yeah once i brucked up my knee playing baseball and i was out for 2 months it really put things into perspective.

1. Id rather of broke a bone than tear my PCL, meniscus, and gastro calf muscle
2. Id rather of shattered my arm than lose use my of legs again
3. Sleeping/staying on the main floor of the house surrounded by family most of the day makes it hard to watch porn

Impossible to compare injuries like that.
Watching the video of RV makes me miss seeing him ride! His riding style was so fun and kinda thrilling to watch. Guess I'll never miss Dungey riding, haha

Around when I first joined the board Slipdog posted a gopro video of himself breaking his leg riding a CR250 (?) if I remember correctly.

RV was out of shape? Three quarters of the way through the SX season and he was out of shape? Aware me how so

Your really going to compare a lower leg injury to a wrist and elbow injury? I hope Roczen makes it back to the top, but his injury was far worse and it happened To his wrist and elbow.

Dude!
It's no secret that RV was fat and lazy and rode on only his pure talent. Have you even followed his career?
He signed aldon after that injury and came back to destroy everyone for the rest of his career.

Don't compare us SCI wheelchair guys as the other complexities often have as much of an impact as walking if not more
I have screws,a plate and a pin in my left leg,Tib/Fib so I know where you're coming from but hypothetically maybe compare a leg and arm like for like,as for Roczen it's fortunate that he had an excellent doctor/surgeon on the case and hopefully he'll be back to the same level

I think you're confusing leg injuries, with spinal cord injuries, two completely different things. Most people in wheelchairs are from spinal cord injuries not leg injuries.

Yeah you're right. He was a fat fuck when he was raping everyone in the 250 class. His lack of will power was downright disgusting

He was in better shape than most of the general public but compared to his fellow racers he was out of shape. He was pudgy, diet was not where it needed to be and it was a very public battle he had. When he was a kid on the 250 he was on it for sure....but as he aged and moved up to the 450 he ballooned in size. When he broke his leg he was a fatty. Aldon whooped his ass into the best shape of his life and we see what happened after that.

Ever notice how everything anymore turns negative? There is no such thing as a healthy conversation. Shit gets really annoying.

Why does everything have to be so polar? Now we are talking arms vs legs...c'mon fellas. My bad for starting the conversation. Can't we all just get along?

My initial thought creating the post was to bring light to the fact that RV had a pretty devastating injury and he came back to dominate...I'm sure he had his doubts at times as Roczen might have now or in the future... I'm just pumped to see him back on a bike. I was literally sick to my stomach after watching his crash. Hopefully this next year has some excitement and new winners.

Lot of really interesting stuff...
Barcia on a privateer Honda,
Bogle with JGR after winning 2 motos this summer,
Tickle training with Aldon and on a new bike,
Davi back on a Yamaha,
Roczen's comeback,
Webb on the 18,
AC's confidence boost,
list goes on..

Pretty damn good stuff coming this next year!

That's for sure. I'm just here to talk moto haha. I don't have the energy to waste on negativity...it's so consuming reading some of the back and forth between people.

RC was fat and still kicked everyone's ass. All I hear is a bunch of excuses.

Comparing RV's injury to Roczens? Comical!
"I know every injury is different and people heal differently"

You may know your 1st Amendment right, but you sure as shit don't know how to read....

He was part timing it and still won every overall outdoors, RV was not any heavier than RC during that time frame. Aldon was his trainer when he crashed out 2010.

Just watch the fucking documentary.
