Also found it interesting that he felt great on the bike right away and didn't need any changes. He's gonna do well over there with such a flexible riding style and wide margin for setups.
The Shop
It will be good to follow RVs journey
That said, I'm thrilled that he's going on this journey and I hope he continues to post updates. So cool that he's giving his practice bike mechanic this opportunity to go with him on the journey. I wish Team RV the best!
But what kind of van is this?
"Opal vans with a sliding door and a wall that’s built-in, so that will be our ‘touring van’."
The most interesting thing was the quote
"it’s a real breath of fresh air to be involved with a team that’s excited and passionate about the sport"
WTF was the poor guy surrounded with in the States???????????
Pit Row
He is not missing the speed so he is stepping to the right direction..
It begs the question though- if Ryan clearly has a great time on his European adventure, exploring new cultures, visiting interesting places, riding different tracks against different opposition- will more top tier american riders follow suit in the coming years? I'm sure someone like Dungey could negotiate a very good contract to race GP's if he really wanted to. WIll he try to emulate RV and do a year of GP's at some point in his career?
Personally I doubt it, but it would be brilliant if what RV is doing this year made moving to gp's a more attractive prospect to other top tier american riders
Interesting.
