I'm glad to see Roczen win one! Kid is super talented trains hard and has a good attitude. You know he woulda wanted the W straight up against Tomac,And I think it would have won this week anyway and he even seemed bummed tomac crashed out, said he wants to race him. So Roczen get my vote 250w champ, Kenny has good form and style on the bike for days.

i agree that roczen would of got it. eli was just too far back for a 15 lap race and roczen was moving. i would of loved to see eli stay up on 2 wheels and catch roczen at the very end. though and battle it out for a lap or 2.

Opportunity knocked and K-Roc took advantage. His Title to lose now.

Kenny's in a good spot, but this is also much like last year, where Eli crashed out of San Diego...and that seemed to work out okay for him. Smile

It ain't over yet.

He can be second behind Tomac till the end, and still wins by 1 point

The big question is... how bad is Eli's injury?

I want Ken to win the most but Eli has been amazing until now and as above, he still got it done last year under similar circumstances. However I think Ken is a stronger competitor indoors than Dean and so close are they in speed, if Tomac has an injury that limits his performance in any way whatsoever - then Roczen (not withstanding similar disasters) should be able to build upon it further.

RacerX said he wasn't badly hurt, just took a bit of a bang to the head and had a sore knee afterwards. According to Larocco he was annoyed with himself more than anything.

I'd like Roczen to win the title, but equally I'd have no problem with Tomac being champion, he's become a hell of a rider. His season could easily have ended in those whoops on Saturday and that would definitely have sucked!

No, then it's a tie with tie breaker being most wins, Tomac takes it.
I don't think last night was a gift for the win but it sure was for the Cship.

Kenny does have a great attitude. I really liked his comment on the podium, saying he hoped Eli was okay and that he wanted to race with him. I agree. I want to see those two healthy and racing each other. Both are great riders.

roczen is riding great, and the weird part is he doesnt look fast at all. he's just going fast.

Ironic that I was just listening to a Pulp MX show with Roczen last night (from before Oakland) and he said although it was looking good for Tomac, anything can happen.
Roczen is a bright spot in the sport- awesome rider, and very positive attitude.

After last year's crash didn't Eli have some time to heal up due to the east-west coast split? Seems like it happened right before the switch.

Last year roczen had speed, but was squirreling out alot. This year he seams aggresive yet lax on the bike. And deff wicks the throttle up now when he need to get by someone! All I know is, Lets say Roczen,Tomac,Seely,Wilson,Baggett, move up to 450's its gonna be the deepest field ever!!!! And ? Why hasnt Ryan Sipes moved up? Hes been racing lights for like 20years...

No it's not. Last year Eli had a points lead, all-be-it slim, and many weeks to recover....and his competition was suffering from a weakness too (Wilsons already injured shoulder). This year Tomac has a 15 point deficit, one week to regroup and a confident, healthy K-Roc to deal with....who doesn't HAVE to beat Tomac one more time to win the title! Here's to hoping that Tomac can make this west title interesting again!

And with a SX title will that give him the momentum to do better outdoors?
