hey guys, just got a call from a shop that has an RMZ250 that they need to get rid of. it is not running and they have no idea why it will not run. I'm thinking of attempting a 250 t conversion with my 04 RM250 engine.( I also have a freshly rebuilt 2000 RM 250 engine sitting around).
I have seen 125cc in the RMZ 250 chassis, has anyone had any experience with a 250 t?
the bike will still end up costing me 1000.00 , its an 07. based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba ,Canada. I have heard that there is a shop in Manitoba somewhere that can complete aluminum frame conversions, anyone know of this shop?
thanks

The Shop
The other loved, and rode sport bikes.
both were bat shit off the wall crazy.
If the chassis is significantly newer than the one it is replacing, that makes more sense. Not only because of the updated ergonomics and suspension components, but also because of the availability of replacement parts, aftermarket/performance parts, graphics, and things like that.

The older generation frame is chunky looking and has big heavy looking shrouds and side panels.
Your bike will look dated.
There are plenty of grenaded 2010 RMZ's around...
those guys would have to train a platoon of mice to get in there and work on it.
electrical? pretty sure even some monkeys at a car dealership could check to see if it sparks.
its probably as simple as ethanol sludge build up in the pilot circuit. (which means every circuit is probably gummed up)
now, put on your bullshit cap and go in there and tell them it is the harmonic distortion resonance balancer fluid exchanger, and that it is about $1,500 to purchase, if you can find one that is, because Suzuki discontinued them.
this should get them to drop the price even further because chance are these ass hats will have no clue what you just said, but they will be scared by it.
