Looks like a late model rmz450 with the 125 engine shoved in. Can't be legit, look how the kick starter is right up against the frame.

Let's face it, the rmz450 is 10 years old with not many changes. The new rmz250 looks just like the old one and is the slowest 250f. That looks like it was done at the factory. That would be awesome if they got back into that class. Give Yamaha and KTM a little competition.

Sadly I doubt it will happen.

Trivia question, if you put an RM125 engine into a new RMZ250 would it be lighter or heavier than the steel frame 125?

Heavier, the oil mixed into the gas weighs it down.

Not to mention the weight of those power bands. Everyone knows it takes the heavy ones to be able to wheelie in every gear

Jeff Cernic calls it a prototype, and he put a request on his facebook page for anyone at Loretta's to stop by their display and fill out a survey. See the clipboard on the bike stand? Jeff loves him some 2-stroke, and wants to put some pressure on at Suzuki to get something like this available to the buying public again.

So if you're at the ranch, stop by and say hello, (you'll likely find him changing tires or helping someone out in some other way), and add your name to the growing list of folks trying to send a message back to Japan that we miss our oil burners.

Yep, the kick starter should be something like this. Yeah, these Suzuki's are pretty weak these days! Another fake Internet photoshop, which happens to be in my shop.

Dumb fucks, Suzuki chose the easiest option to build a more competitive bike for the 250 class.

This proved to be faster than their RMZ250

I imagine it could be interesting for Suzuki to keep the 'old' 4-stroke production line going with the only change being the 2-stroke engine mounted, having less parts to bolt on (start device etc). Next to that they could have the production line for the new 4-stroke models?

Maybe not, thinking about the above, it probably would be a lot cheaper to have a production line that shares all frame parts between the 125, 250F, 450F models. So then the new 125 would have the same design/looks as the new 4-stroke models.

I wish we had an insider that could shed some light on the Suzuki production line process.

How did Suzuki handled the different production of models in 2005? At that time they had the new RMZ450 and were still building the 125.

We need spies.
