this is my 1986 cr250 ricky johnson replica. basically did a frame off restoration. this was always one of my favorite cr's ever made. the only thing it needs is a nice set of gold rims.

I had some great results on that bike. For slow local novice.

Nevertheless I remember it fondly.

Damn that is one sweet CR. I have a set of he big die cut Dunlop decals they ran on the Factory Honda's back then if ya want them. They look sweet on the rear fender and are more authintic. DM me if your interested and I'll send them to you.

i actually had some repros made a while back. when i find them i'll drop you a line and get one to you. i actually hooked up johnny o' hannah with a few a while back. and i didn't restore that RJ moto 4. it was a new old stock one i purchased years ago. i have restored a few over the years. here are some. but when i find the mad dog decals i'll let you know.

if memory serves me the "Maddog" sticker on Ricky's helmet was his high schools mascot. Cavy.

Hey nice bike, mine came with gold rims. Saw it for sale on the side of the road, came with a wooden trailer. And I bought it, Man the wife was pissed.. My first 250. It was bad ass.. Good luck.

That's a really nice restoration. The only thing I can give you a bit of creative criticism about is the bar pad. You need a nylon-wrapped Renthal pad in dark blue, not the reflex blue modern vinyl version. Other than that (and the gold rims you already mentioned,) that thing is perfect!
