a little less than a month ago, the MX community lost another young talented rider and an excellent young man. On October 24, my friend Devin Chester was riding a track we all rode damn near every day during the week. I've been out of riding for almost 2 years now. Having a kid and getting married put a quick end to it but i'll be back out there one day. Anyway Devin had hit this jump countless times and this time didnt make it and crashed hard. The bike landed on top of him and by the time the medic got to him on the track he wasnt breathing. Took him to the hospital and they did two different surgeries on him to which he ended up succumbing to his injuries. This young man was on 16 and I can honestly say he was a better man than I am now at the age of 25. Always smiling and always willing to help out anyone who needed it. Extremely talented on a bike and a damn good angler. I know this happens in our sport and i know its something we all accept everytime we go ride but we never think it will happen to us or to someone close to us. For those in the Florida area that want to come out and support him and his family there will be a benefit ride day for him on December 12, from 6pm to 10pm at sunshine motocross. We all know hes up there riding God's perfectly groomed tracks and watching over us. RIP Devin Chester #191 you are forever missed and forever in our hearts.
Still hard to believe the terrible tragedy that occurred. RIP, Devin. Prayers to all of his family and friends.
