Is it me, or is RC's 2005 RM at the AMA museum? (DFWracefan photo)

And also down in Florida being spruced up by MXA? Maybe he had more than one. Wink

The top one in the museum is definitely his race bike from 2005. Just look at any race pic from that year. Not sure what the story is on the second bike. Obviously graphics are different. Interested to hear the story there.

It took me 2.1 seconds to type "Ricky Carmichael" and 2005 RM250 into Google images and this came up.

Pretty sure there are very few parts that start the season still being used by Vegas, once the swap the frame it's technically another bike.

Ever think he might of had multiple race bikes that year? Probably 10 of those damn things out there , Together and probably another 20 in parts boxes.

The bike used in the MXA article looks to be the exact same one Carmichael used for the 2009 Red Bud 2 Stroke Invitational race

I imagine the one in the museum is the 'genuine' championship bike. The MXA one is probably a replica made out of the same parts that they had left over. But Carmichael never ran a graphic kit like on the MXA bike during his RM250 racing days.

Ya'll know he used to go through bikes like chinese take out right?

I bet there are a shit load of bikes he road that year in various states around the place.

In fact, listening to Lars on Pulp for the Kenny/MC bike vid, they used MC's personal bike, but there is one at the museum and one at Honda.

Perhaps the newer shroud graphics would have been ran had RC raced the 2 stroke in '06?

That's the story I want to hear. I'll give ya multiple bikes in one season, but not multiple graphics schemes.

The whole premise of the MXA story was: "It was THE bike Ricky won seven Supercross races on en route to the 2005 Supercross title." Well, it appears it wasn't.

It appears to be the bike built for the 2009 one-off race (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Oh well, I did like the MXA story though.

Is it hard to believe that they just changed the graphics for that one off race and it is one of the bikes he raced in 2005?
