Former Privateer To Contest Outdoor Nationals On Suzuki For RCH Racing Team

San Diego, CA (April 9, 2014) –The RCH Racing Soaring Eagle has signed top privateer Weston Peick to race the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross Championship for 2014. Peick will continue to contest the remainder of the Feld Motor Sports® 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship series as a privateer, before joining the RCH Racing Soaring Eagle effort.

Answering the question posed inRacer XMagazine and all over the Internet, "Why Not Weston?" RCH team principal Ricky Carmicheal says why not, indeed. "I'm glad to have Weston a part of the team." Peick earned seven amateur titles without support from factories and raced a privateer since turning pro in 2009… until now. "We are excited to give him the opportunity and look forward to working with him to help him achieve his goals," claims Carmichael.

"He has a great work ethic that will mesh well with our team personnel to get the best result possible," adds Carmichael. "It should be a lot of fun!"

Awesome! Good to see hard work pay off for Weston. I got to meet him and his dad, Louie in Atlanta. Super nice guys and were real appreciate that I was wearing a Peick shirt that I bought from Pistonbones. I'm a huge fan of Weston, guess I'll have to get some RCH gear for the Thunder Valley Race.

That seems to be what I keep noticing, he doesn't seem to mind putting in the work. Been doing it quite a few years with little to no help it seems. Congrats to all involved.

I'm bummed for Hill, too, but Weston will be a great addition to RCH. It's one of those deals where you think it is a huge blessing to all involved. Weston has deserved a factory ride (despite more DNF's than he should have had) and RCH really needs a rider that's gonna mix it up with the top guys.

Not a huge fan of this, but I understand it, I suppose. Unfortunately Josh wasn't quite putting in results like many know he's capable of. I'm sure Peick will have good rides this summer though. I hope Josh either picks up a ride or goes full freeride like Bereman and Hanny. Love watching those guys do their thing.

Congrats to Weston. He has already put in a lot of work and I think it will be rewarding for both him and the team.

Glad to see Weston rewarded for the work he's done w/o factory support all this time. Cool too that he chose to ride out the SX series as a privateer so he'd do right by his sponsors. In a day where some riders tend to burn bridges for more $$...nice to see a guy like WP40 who knows what goes around comes around.
