There's a very select few who can rise above the best there is and set new standards. He was one of the rare ones who could. It's a shame we never got to see his true potential.

One of the reasons I had gotten hooked big on the sport along with Ty Davis, Rodney Smtih, Steve Hatch, and Scott Summers..... True badass men on their machines.

Hamel was the MAN!

Desert racing in the 90's was awesome! Now-thanks to environmentalists-it is a dying sport. And that is a shame!

The thing about Danny is that we WON'T have to wonder about what could have been. He was. He came in on top, stayed for a while, and went out on top. The best in so many more ways than one.
