How can you hold a two stroke race and not give them the opportunity to create the best noise in motorcycles ever created?!

I agree and I guess they did it so that the racing can be even closer than before. I wish they would of integrated a long set of whoops.

Best sound to ever hit an SX track.

Isn't that only a small portion of the track? I could have sworn I seen on Instagram a sand whoops section before the finish line. Not the same as supercross whoops but sand whoops should make things interesting.

This may have something to do with a lack of big stadium whoops at this event.

So it's a 1/2 mile scrub competition. Lame whoops would be a great separator.

Pastrana going Mach 12 through the roller -whoop sections was the best part of the event.

I can understand wanting to keep it safer. Less entertaining since that has usually been the biggest difference maker, but I'll still watch.

the only way to keep this event safe is to give Ronnie Mac a couple dozen Trojans at the riders meeting

After RJ's crash I understand it. The event is still young and they want to get the best riders out there. Look at how hard it is to put together a team for MXoN, or fill the gate at monster cup. This event needs to play it safe, they can't have another rider eat it like that. I only say this because i believe this event has potential. Play it safe, gain traction with bigger auidences, and bigger riders. Hell, if it takes off bring back some whoops in a couple years.

Agreed, after all the hype for this they then go blow it by not having whoops

Mmmm ok BUT look at the hype for this 'race' how much has been about 4t compared to 2t, now I may be wrong but going by that the fans want to see see 2t going flat out and the sound they make over the whoops is like no other.

For what its worth I am not in the 2t taliban but think this is where they could find there niche in pro racing

It's simple really... Just add in a set of SX whoops straight away after the drop in. That way the riders aren't going Mach 1 into them, it adds another level of difficulty and different obstacle safely and it prevents them from hitting Mach 1 speeds so early on in the course.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

I believe that's the video I lifted the sound for to create the ringtone for my flip phone back in the day. I told my kids I wasn't gonna pay $.99 for a ringtone and spent probably two solid hours on my laptop lifting the audio of RC going thru the whoops, cropping it and getting the file onto the phone. My kids were real impressed...not. I thought it was a cool ringtone but then one day the phone screwed up so I smashed the damn thing. The laptop I had used also had died so I lost the soundfile I'd created. I'm still kinda bummed about it.

Except the race would be over right off the bat if one of the riders has a bad run through the whoops

Lol Mr. Cheapo. But that said it's not like you can find something that cool for a ringtone so you making it yourself is great.

I'm not sure I would of put it as a ringtone. I'd probably set it so it goes off when I'd receive a text from a moto buddy.

It's probably easier to do now than it was back then.

Then don't have a bad run through the whoops. Or you could just put them after a wall jump.

Either way, I wish there were some whoops. The event drags on as is. I have a feeling there's nothing to really separate the guys. It will be a scrub test. Still going to watch, of course. But just going off previous years, the whoops always added excitement.

After a wall jump was what I was thinking. They'd only have a short run after the wall before hitting them. Still a tough obstacle but they wouldn't be entering them going full speed.

I think they need to be part of the event.
