Simply curious about what you guys think.
What are the advantages of him doing GPs over trying to be the first to do 5 straight SX titles? Is he that bored of it and just wants a change of scenery? Maybe something he's always wanted to do? I know this has been talked about for awhile, I just don't see why it's such a big secret.

The Shop
Money
Legacy
Challenge
Experience
In that order. If he goes, it will be because they backed up the Brinks truck to his house.
fingers crossed it is true- seems to be the worst kept secret in mx at the moment. If he comes to gps then hopefully other top tier american riders will follow, and vice versa. Great to see riders cross the pond and race in the 'other' series both ways!! fair play to him if he has the balls to do it
i honestly THINK he is just over it here and could use a change of pace, scenery, motivations, etc.
he's won all there is to win here. might as well challenge himself by going to race the MXGP imo
I bet he is excited about the new challenges ahead of him. He is still a young man. He will have a blast there. I raced in Germany for two seasons as an amateur and it was absolutely an awesome experience!
With his skill set, desires, ability to understand what it will take in conditioning, the notoriety that will come with this adventure……damn I’m way jealous.
New tracks to conquer…….damn…….I certainly will be watching every event!
Pit Row
As for GP, that will be the next chapter in his life and he may go there, win one and be done, another exclamation point to a stellar career.
Seems like he just picked up a lot more fans and the hopes of him winning are higher now.
Maybe hes not doing this to dominate and grind. Maybe just wanting to enjoy the euro scene and make some money while hes over there?
Which would suck for us USA fans. But RV doesn't care about what fans think right?
This leaves me very curious to see how this plays out.
He started all the rumors himself just to sit back in his downtime and laugh at how kook'd out everyone gets on the internet, laughing all the way to the bank...
He's leaving.
Think about it this way. A very obviously bored and lacking motivation RV still won the SX championship pretty easily. Now imagine a motivated, maybe with a chip on his shoulder wanting to prove he is the best outdoor rider, RV going to the GPs.
Even if he loses its going to be EPIC.
