Question for KTM EXC owners

Anyone own an early 00 model EXC smoker? Does the title/MCO have "not for highway use" written anywhere on it?

No, I don't believe any KTM has that on the MCO. it's one reason for the sea of orange at enduros.

I just looked at my 2013 250 SX MCO, Even the motocross bikes don't say "not for highway use" on them.

I own a 2000 300 EXC. That's it in my Avatar, in her motocross clothes.

The title does not say "Not for Highway Use" on it.

That's a double negative. But it doesn't say "For Highway Use" either.

I'm confusing the issue. It doesn't say anything except "Motorcycle".

Getting a plate was as easy as taking the title to a notary and writing a check. She wears a Baja Designs dual sport kit now, and I like to beep the horn when I'm coming up on someone at the practice track.

Motoxtombo-

I don't think a Certificate of Origin is the same as a title. Maybe laws vary state to state.

Ever bike made from a PW 50 to a Gold Wing comes with an MCO, it is nothing more than an importation document. Most states create a title from this document which in turn allows to owner to register the bike as a motor vehicle. The Japanese manufacturers have chosen to print "not for on road use" on their off road MCO's. KTM, on the other hand has chosen not to do the same and the normal procedure can be circumvented.

if the vin number has a 3 or a c in the 8th digit reading left to right, you won't be able to street legal it in some states like
mexifornia.

I have a 2005 and there isn't anything on my title that would indicate not for highway use...

I've had 2 KTMs (525EXC and my current 300XC 2-stoke) and I've street titled/tagged both in FL. We are one of the toughest states...
