I'm looking for brands who are building, great and competitive pipes and silencers for two strokes. In my case the 125cc Husqvarna and 125cc Yamaha. What are your own findings on that topic?

Definition Associated with the subjective quality of a thing or phenomenon, such as feel, taste, expertise, image, leadership, reputation.

Qualitative aspects are abstract; they either do not require measurement or cannot be measured because the reality they represent can only be approximated. Knowledge of these aspects is gained through observation combined with interpretative understanding of the underlying thing or phenomenon.

In other words, I search 'Brands who build great 125cc exhausts'.

I've always liked HGS for 2 stroke pipes. Well built and always been a great improvement on the bikes I've used them on. Apparently the DEP pipe works really well on YZ125 as well, UK brand - they're are pretty cheap over here as well. I was not a fan of DEP 4 stroke pipes but I think their 2 stroke pipes are pretty good.

What about Van Hasselt, he makes some awesome pipes for sidecars, we run one and its 3 years old now, still looks like new, very strong too, he builds 2 and 4-stroke solo and sidecars.... Just do a Google search.

The silencer is bigger then the pipe and it always comes apart I had to put my stock silencer back on about to order a PC factory/r304

Neither does FMF Powercore 2 on the RM 250.

But something has to be wrong with your sample. The HGS pipes are very, very popular on all of the KTMs here in Europe.

If you want something really high end, Scalvini is the way to go. Their cone pipes with full carbon silencers are pure art.

Bills pipes are making a good come back. Theyre factory looking hand welded pipes they sell to the public look awesome. I have a bills pipe on my 04 rm 125 and i love it. I know they specialized with suzukis but their new product is worth taking a look at.

I ordered an HGS Pipe for my sons kx supermini. It makes better power than the FMF and the PC but the stinger on the silencer had a bad bend and started burning my airboot. They replaced it but it took several weeks. The new one fits fine but just developed a crack that had to be tig welded.

They make great power but I did experience some issues.

Always rated Doma when I was riding two strokes. Think they're a Belgium company also.

I think I know what the problem is. I don't really know what year KTM started it i think it was 2014 but they basically made the 250 and 300 silencer the same width whereas with previous models the 250 and 300 silencers were different.

So if your silencer is too small, you have a silencer for a 250 pipe trying to fit on a 300 pipe. If your silencer is too big you have a 300 silencer for a 250 pipe.

It regards to the Euro pipe manufacturers, Are their pipes better because they have kept up with RD in regards to developing their pipes? FMF and PC make great pipes but I can't help but think they haven't tried to improve their 2 stroke pipes over the years, especially for the YZ125.

To be honest, unless you hold a pro licence and you're ringing that things neck you won't notice one pipe from another, it's a bolt on performance part. It's like asking is a Boyeson rad valve better than a v force, people will have their peference but it'll basically do the same thing, I only posted the a scalvini because I think it's almost a work of art

There's a bunch of European handmade pipe builders that make race pipes for 125s like Scalvini, Fresco, Messico, JSV, VH, PPS,...
All of them seem similar to me, they are usually long, and very narrow expansion chambers, which means no bottom end and just max horsepower/overrev, so very much high-skilled only pipes.

I don't know man, I'm not a Pro. And I can definitely tell a difference as to how the power is delivered between the stock pipe, PC pipe, Stock silencer and a shorty silencer. I've tried different combinations of them and each one is very noticeable to me.

Stock pipe and shorty- nice low end to mid with no over rev, nice for the woods
Stock pipe with stock silencer- I feel this is the most spread out use of the power, pulls nice from low right to the top
PC pipe with shorty- My favorite, strong mid with a killer top.
PC pipe with stock silencer.- No low end, but sings like a mofo on top!!!

Same goes for the V-force, bike revs a bit more with that installed. I have a Rad valve in the box, just haven't felt like jacking with it yet. I think these changes are more noticeable on a 125 because you are using so much of the power all the time and are WFO. On a 250 twostroke its probably a much different story.

Alot of people are able to wring a 125 out, and even if they arent you'll still notice power in different areas.

I used to have people tell me the same. On a 125 you can tell a difference in brands. I was top 5 in 125B class and I tested pipes back to back with a local shop. There is a difference. Pro Circuit was always my top choice.

I think HGS or DOMA are the best choices. They give you more broader powerband than PC

Our rider has now a personal deal with PPS, and those pipes made that YZ125 much better!
