Im not in Qatar & havent seen any footage but here is what I told RV (& dad & NYK) in A1. "To do good you have to forget abt ur US settings"

could be a setup problem but actually he had enough time to prepare.. Some tweets said he was going out for suspension changes in the practices as well.

He'll be good tomorrow I guess

Maybe lacking a bit of race fitness/sharpness. Training is one thing, but like in any sport, it just doesn't compare to genuine competition.

Also, the whole factor of him being in unfamiliar territory - some of us have been banging on about it for a while, and it *has* to play it's part.

I mean, put Cairoli on the starting gate for tomorrow nights Supercross, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him finish outside of the top ten.

This stuff is awesome. Reminds me of how Roczen was handed the SX championship after round one and this is just a qualifying race. It's going to be a fun summer on Vital!

Now its you US guys bashing on him. Im euro but i love villopoto! Its a long series and ALOT of things are going to happen, RV will get into it and he will be up there. Im not hoping him to win cause my favorite are Cairoli and Paulin. Tongue But i think RV will be there. Just calm down, its a fucking qual heatrace! The series ends in SEPTEMBER!

Funny how it's all changed after the first qualifying race and the fanboys arnt so cocky now. Yes it is only a qualifier and rv has plenty of time just hope that you guys can see the euros arnt so slow after all. Your tracks are so much more faster and less technical he is going to struggle been up there every race. Having said that I would like to see him have a good go at AC, absolute respect for RV giving it a go hope to see some good racing this year.
