Yes Steve crashed very hard. Multiple fractures (jaws, thorax, heel, wrist, etc). had successful surgery and now in recovery for quite a while.

He's on the road to recovery, but like Shenzi said, with that collection of injuries, it'll be a while before he sees action again.
