I say white for sure. Leave the swing arm unpainted and make a bitching 96 mcgrath replica! It's probably never been done before.

I talked to a mechanic in the pits whotold me why they stopped powder-coating his rider's frames.

It added about five pounds to the chassis.

It also made it harder to detect cracks in the frame, and his guy had broken one in the run-up to Supercross.

Anodize black like others have said. Weight wise and care wise it'll hold up better...

Tho it'll start looking old pretty quick irrespective of what colour, that's why ali is probably best.

If you're a pro racer, go down the anodizing route to save on weight. If you're not a pro, use crayons.

Just polish it. When it gets dull and/or scuffed, polish it again.

Do black with no clear coat. The clear will make it look way to "wet" looking and won't match well with other parts. I've done plenty of frames in my day in black, black with no clear is the way to go.

I like the white with 1 800 collect graphics. But you can't go wrong with the black. Black looks good any way you dress it.

If and when you do it, please keep us posted on how it holds up in the rub areas.

Didnt read all of the comments. But there is absolutely no way. I did my frame subframe swing arm and both rims on a little over one pound of powder.

Considering KTM bikes come with powder coated frames, that is a lot of added weight (provided it is true).
