I'm not sure what's going down at Rockstar Husky, but all this talk has reminded me what a huge Pourcel fan I am, and what a gritty sumbitch he is after going thru all the injuries and health problems. Figured he deserved a little love around here amidst all the "Vital Negativity".

This is not meant to take away from Deano at all, I'm beyond stoked for that guy. That's what you call showing up. So if any of you turds try to bring your shit stirring into this thread, I will un-torque your sprocket bolts faster than you can order a pizza.

377 is awesome! Chasing his dream in a foreign country a long way from home. Respect for this man.

I like Pourcel, just look at the other thread, 3rd most wins with Pro circuit. That's pretty impressive.

Somewhere on YouTube there's a documentary about him breaking his back. Wheelchair for 8 months, then gained feeling back. Trained and came to win a sx title

Big fan of Pourcel. It's a shame things aren't going better for him. Huge respect he is still doing it though! It takes guts to come back from the injuries he's had.

pourcels one guy who needs a outdoor only contract. hes talented as hell and can run the fast pace but hes said many times since his accident he has issues riding that close(as in SX) to other riders. that's why he shines outdoors and can qualify good at sx

I am a huge fan of Christophe, and have taken lots of heat for it from my shallow friends. He is such s great talent though, and I always want the best for and from him.

Wasn't a fan until I saw how gracious in defeat he was with Trey. Frenchy can ride.

I think because it's been a little rough since his "comeback" a lot of people forgot just how awesome that dude was on PC. A little luck goes his way and he's a 2 time National Champ.

CP was, is and always will be...A bad dude.

Also I remember a vid on Transworld where Trey was getting interviewed and Pourcel interrupted it and pat Trey on the back and said to the camera something like 'I had nothing for him today.. he was on it, couldn't catch him' then Trey looking a bit taken aback genuinely said "Well that was cool"
Thought it was a cool moment

Just when you think the leader board is locked for qualifying, the number 377 goes to No.1. Time and time again. Many times on that last lap heater. Love it!

Pourcel genuinely respected trey just like he did cairoli because in 2010 at the end of the nationals someone was riding faster than he could and they wasn't common for him.

What happened to Pourcel? Is he retiring? He's a badass. Still the fastest man on the planet at any given time for one lap.

Hoping this isn't the end, maybe the gun is being jumped a little and he stays and works though whatever it is.

CP will always be a smooth, badass mother on a bike and a god damn soldier for getting through what he has suffered physically and mentally.

1 world title, Double SX champ and very very nearly double AMA outdoors, short list right there.

Pic from his GP title year

The crafty frenchman has contributed to a lot of good racing through the years. No matter what happens he will always be remembered as an outstanding champion for winning titles after that major injury. Nothing but respect for the man...

Pourcel is a legend, in my opinion, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, one of of not the most naturally talented guy to ever ride a dirtbike. When you look at the injuries he sustained, and what he has achieved since, you can't do anything but respect the guy, and wonder what he might have been able to achieve if it wasn't for his injuries. I hope this isn't the end for him, I know he has had a rough start to the SX season, but I still think he has a lot to offer, especially outdoors.

I have said time and time again that one of the worst things that happend in our sport at least from a fans perspective is that CP did not race 450 SX coming off of his two 250 SX titles. There is zero doubt in my mind that if he moves up for the 2011 SX season he would have multiple 450 SX wins at the very least.
