Its filthy, sheet metal screws might be preventing filter from seating correctly.

Is that a crack on the airboot seam? Crappy pics.

LOL, dumbass. You have to put the filter on before you put the 4 screws in or it won't seat. And you call yourself MX King.

Look on ebay for a new (used) airbox. Or better yet, get a new one.

Totally. You could get rid of the stupid wing nut in the middle with this method too.

You like that guys? I'm going to separate it all, use some sink silicone and then build up the filter sealing surface with jb weld until it's flush with the top of the screws. That should do the trick..... and if not its nothing some 5 minute epoxy shouldnt fix!

Why dont you remove the wood screws and put in some button head allen screws going through from the filter side and use ni lock nuts on the outside?

It's all a joke my man. I already have a new 07 airboot here and placed the order for the mxbonz kit when I pulled the filter yesterday and saw that tragedy of engineering.

I like how you think, people spend thousands of dollars for ti stuff when there's simple things that will save weight for free.

Nice one.... that MxBonzo kit looks good for sixty bucks and could save your engine in the future. Hows that original fix... i would be checking that bike right over, because the previous owner was a clown!!
