Sweet! Do you plan on riding it or put it in the living room?

Off topic question: Is that the stock pipe with fake welds on your 250 or is it a real cone pipe?

Check out the hologram of all his national numbers inside of the 16 on his number plate. Some really cool work by Doug at TSS Graphics

Thanks!! The guy who built John Dowd's bikes for like 7yrs built my RM & he did a tremendous job. It runs WAY WAY better than it looks too!! No, Dyer has a new 2102 Yamaha 450 & that was a brand new 2012 Kawey that me & Dyer built for Emig to ride that day.

Like the bare frame on the RM. I have a bare frame project in the works myself. Still collecting parts.

And having that RMZ that Dowdy rode in 05 is really something special. I wouldnt be getting that thing dirty any time soon if I was you. I also didnt know about the sublimated numbers within his race numbers. That is awesome to see up close.

That is so awesome! Please don`t ride it! Smile
I noticed "farewell Glen Helen" on the shrouds. Didn`t Dowd sit Glen Helen out that year? If so, that should make extra special Unsure

I know Im biased, but that RM250 is a timeless, classic look. Not to mention it rips and cuts a line like a scalpel.

Cool pix.

Yes I stripped the frame & had the weaker areas re-welded & then when we saw how cool it looked all blued up & thats when we got the idea of leaving it bare. So my buddy blue all the welds & then he clear powdercoated the frame. You have to see it outside cuz it does look great.

I love the looks of the RMs also but I do love the way Ron cut the number plates & added the RMZ front fender & number plate just to make it look a little newer & the motor work he has done to it is just impressive to say the least. This bike is fast, real fast, dare I say 450 fast...but it is.
