This man is horrible, you can tell how much he hates having to mention anyone from the USA. His pre race interview with Musquin and Decoster was more of the same.... I will have to say I'd rather hear Ralph than Paul.

I like Malin, he's a World Champion and i would choose Paul over Ralph every single day of the week.

Langston and Weedge are way better in my opinion.
Thats cos they have 30 ad breaks to think of stuff to say.

Malin does a good job seeing as he is on his own most of the time.

I don't believe he has been a world Champion unless your classing the MXdN as a World title. He was runner up at least once, maybe twice.

He does a good job imo. Try to talk 4 hours basically to yourself. It's much easier to talk when there are 2 commentators. Also there are no ads.

How? Blink He's been giving the US riders props all day, maybe you just hear it that way.

Paul is good and when Adam Wheeler joins it's really a strong combination.

Their audience is not TV but fans, that changes everything (as compared to Ralph).

They are legit and do a very accurate job for that audience, I think.

Obviously, the no-commercials program is overall much better anyway.

He's a totally biased prick. Hell, in the 250 motos we had US riders 1st through 3rd and he didn't even mention them, he talked about 4th through 5th the whole damn moto. Then his passive aggressive back handed slights of US riders make me want to puke. Hell, a rider that probably won't be able to get a ride next year and a guy racing a 450 for the first time almost beat your best..haha...suck it Malin!

What race did you watch? Dude the US lost today. Romain Febvre is from France and he won the overall.

Because that's what was being shown on screen, considering it was the battle for the championship and all.... whenever it shown the US riders he discussed them. I bet you couldn't give a single example of this passive-aggressiveness you are babbling about. The only time Malin is ever biased is when he sometimes mentions the British riders more often than others, which he wasn't really doing today. You are just being delusional and paranoid.

They are many, but to say that Gasjer "wasn't trying" to beat the US riders is a joke.

He didn't mention the US guys much in the first 250 moto because the TV production hardly showed them all race! That's not his fault, blame the producers. Malins job is primarily to concentrate on what's happening on screen - which just happened to be the MX2 title being decided - and keep the viewers updated on what else is happening. Which is exactly what he did.

What you desperately wanted was someone to wax lyrical about how great the American riders were doing, but because you didn't think they were given enough credit you're feeling bitter about it.

If you were to watch the MX2 race race again you'll hear him being complimentary about Nelson on a number of occasions.

The 3 U.S. guys were hardly even on screen. There was a good battle for 4th and the championship was on the line and you expect him to talk about 3 guys riding at the front on their own? He can only call what's on the screen. But hell i'd much rather watch some coverage where the racing is shown for just long enough for the commentators to try and sell me insurance

How is that a joke? The kid had to just finish the moto to become world champion, an opportunity that may never arise again in his career, and you think he's going to go all out and try and beat 3 wildcards? Now that's a joke

Com'on let's be real, he's no different than the usual suspects around here with his comments(You not included) and if I have to hear him say "he got it all wrong" one more time, i'm going to have to slap him Smile
9/20/2015 5:19pm
I also think there's a slight cultural difference at play here. The other week one poster was complaining about how unprofessional Adam and Paul were being to Paulin and the HRC boys... simply by saying that they've basically had a crumby season and laid out a lot of money. Chad Reed has also made mention to having to learn to be very careful with his words once he moved to America. Xavier summed it up about right. The commentators and the whole presentation isn't anywhere near as commercialised and politically correct in the GPs, and long may it live.

He doesn't always get it right but no one would given the amount of racing he has to cover. Overall he does a great job.

I do not seem to hear so much the biased stuff guys are complaining about but to me he just seems very low energy and not very interesting to listen to.

Even when Wheeler, Zach and RV joined him they all sounded bored. Is that just because it is round 18 and they are all over it by now?

He didn't say that though, he said something along the lines of he could be backing off because he knows he has the championship won, which probably was the case at that time. Again you are just being paranoid.
