Have been thinking of doing a trip overseas to not only see a GP race but do some sight-seeing as well. I have always been interested in going to Italy. The GP race on June14th looks like a good time of the year to go. Brazil looks interesting as well.

I am looking to get some suggestions as well as help planning. I am also seeing if anyone else would be interested in the same type of trip. All opinions are welcomed!

The Italian GP in June, at Maggiora, is definitely one of the best European rounds to hit. The atmosphere is brilliant and there always seems to be good racing! Some companies tend to do something special at that round too.

I'm sure there will be a ton of Italian fans there to watch their hero go up against RV.

GPs are excellent but nothing IMHO compares to the MXdN. Are you flexible on when you have to go?

Italy is a great country no doubt about it. If you go to Italy you have to go to Rome but take your well broken in walking shoes.

Literally. The percent of overweight and obese americans is around 67 or 68 percent I think.

My wife and son are doing a trip to Japan in June. Its a school/education deal. 10 days for $4k, all (including food) inclusive. It would be great if some travel company came up with a long weekend/MXGP type trip. I would be very interested if it was in the $1000-$2000 range.

I don't think I saw one fat person my entire time in the Netherlands or Belgium. It was astounding.

Do it...you won't regret it. MxDN would be a good time. I don't know the exact date but Oktoberfest in Munich is usually around the same time. The last time it was in France we hit Oktoberfest then drove all day and half the night to get there. We slept in the car and watched the race running on fumes.

The Brazilian GP in Trindade is actually in my hometown of Goiania in central Brazil. Would never in a million years think they would have a GP there. But if you have never been and you enjoy a tropical paradise and beautiful women, I would recommend Brazil. Make sure to squeeze in a trip to Rio and the southern beaches if you're down there. It's a two hour flight from Goiania.

Random side fact: The City of Goiania is known for having a 7 to 1 ratio. Yes, 7 women for every man.

Hmmm, just checked the schedule. There is a very good possibility we will be in Europe when Valkensward and Spain are on... And i'm trying to convince Wifey to do East Coast US either before or after... Hmmmm...

Thank you for all the great ideas! The MXDN really does sound like a blast! Still not sure what I want to do. This would be a lot easier if I could get a few other Moto enthusiast to go that also enjoy traveling, having a blast and a lilttle beer drinking haha.

Keep the suggestions coming.

There are lots of opportunities to do a double header, Arco Di Trento with Valkenswaard the week after, Matterley with Villars sous Ecot , Teuchenthal with Maggiora, or Loket with Lommel... week in between to take in some sights ... of those i would do Maggiora and Teuschenthal , assuming my own races dont clash , followed by Arco and Valkenswaard.

MXoN at Ernee is a must too.. nobody parties like the French

Haven't attended a GP since the best days of Bellpuig. Might attend something in the european rounds, depending of how easy IcelandAir will give me things.

Definitely don't want to miss the RV vs the guys this season.
