Nor Cal Moto track advice

Howdy Nor Cal Motoheads!

I am planning a trip down to Nor Cal from Central Oregon and would love to get some advice from you locals. I am thinking a 4 day weekend and want to make sure I hit the best places for a 41 year old pro practicer/part time OTMX racer. I am flexible on times but most likely will do it through a weekend. We are about 6 hours from Red Bluff area. I will be staying in the toyhauler. I would also love to hook up with some of you Motodrivers in the area if you're out and about riding... Thanks in advance
What's the temps been lately?

Temps have been pretty good down here lately. I would suggest hitting up Argyll mx and Hangtown mx (they host the national). I have ridden both and they are great tracks, you really can't go wrong with either. Club Moto is run by the same people as Argyll, and is also a well run track, I just don't like it as much because it is pretty tight. No matter where you go, you will have a good time!

Red Bluff has Fingerlake MX; http://fingerlakemxpark.com/

Chico has Cycleland Raceway; http://www.cyclelandspeedway.com/

Marysville; http://estreet.riverfrontmxpark.com/ http://mmxracing.com/ http://mmxracing.com/

Prairie City Hangtown; http://prairiecitymx.com/

I suggest you call these places before going as sometimes they have races or are closed for some reason.

In Marysville there is also MMX, and Riverfront.

MMX:
Cool sandy track with nice flow and great dirt. I would not call it a sand track...more of a sandy track...just enough
Main hardpack track. I am not a fan of this track. Jump jump jump...big turn...no rythm....lame dirt

Riverfront:
Very good track prep, nice layout. Novice level....but some fast guys ride there too. None of the big stuff is do or die. Open 3-7 Tues and Thurs (under lights after dark) and 9-2 Sunday

Club Moto: Nice layout these days.

If you can catch it on an open weekend, I highly recommend Hollister GP. They are even running the old-school USGP layout.

MMX rules!
I think the dirt there sucks. Slick when wet...then it goes hard fast. Just horrible. MMX is all about the jumps. The corners all just blow. I love that everyone rides there...so I can ride E-St and RF with no people.

There was a great thread on this just recently with superb info and I can't find you a link!

Similar subject.....someone heading there. It was a few pages. Maybe someone can dig it up.

Was down in that area recently.
Hangtown is an awesome track, super windy when I was there, but Im used to that.

MMX sand track was super fun and flowed well. I actually had a lot of fun on their dirt track, it has a lot of BIG jumps lol, there was a rythym section where I could go quad triple and a quad quad would not be impossible.

What's the story with MMX and E street? Are they right next door to each other? Or are they the same facility?

408mx in San Jose is always prepped real nice but it's at the fair grounds so no elevation changes
