Watching the full video from MotoTribology's link, you can see other agents doing the same thing. There is a part with a great view of another agent where you can see something in his cupped left hand that goes up his left sleeve. You can actually see that when you look really close to other agents' left hand or with right and left together with arms sideways.

Pay attention at .30 seconds in with the agent if front of the passenger side front door. He is holding his arms sideways with right hand "holding" left hand with thumb up (which appears as slight of hand misdirectiion). Continue to watch, especially from .30-.45 seconds in where said agent transitions position to left hand cupped when his arms go down. Then pay attention to other agents whose arms are either sideways or right hand with left hand. Both positions protect to keep something from "falling" out along with hands cupped when arms are down.

I totally liked the fake arms idea better (i'm a little disappointed it was fake)...in fact, the secret service should start doing that...it's a great idea. fake arms, with a 50 cal under the trench coat. SWEET!
