I'm curious as to why the guys weren't running a Litpro. It's an outdoor venue. Even with conditions being atypical, I would still think they'd want to gather data.

Don't know, but I kinda wish they did away with that, and dartfish, and starting hooks...

It's all in the realm of traction control, i'd rather see the bikes harder to ride and the speeds come down.

I can totally get on board with that.

Someone want to show me the downside of collecting lap times and having MY OWN LAP DATA?

I don't get the "anti" vibe.

I use one. It's excellent for collecting data on what -I- am doing. WHERE I am going. How high or far or fast I'm jumping. How well I'm turning .
It's a great training tool...
For me.

No bike data. Period.

I am for getting rid of Litpro and dart fish as well. IMO, it makes it was too easy to find the fast line around the track, I think if those programs went away you might see guys be a little more willing to try different lines or options. Just my .02. For all of us though I think it's cool to see, I really enjoy the little bit of information I get from my Polar m400.

Yes, for the amateur joe blow it's awesome.

On the pro level, this type of tech has single handily made every SX a one lined, same rhythm goat trail. Unless the track is super sketch like last weekend, it makes everyone do the same thing. Knowing that the inside is 1/10th quicker has hurt the sport.

For us? We're talking about multiple seconds and it's cool to know.

All for it mainly because I find stuff like that interesting. Just because it shows the fast line doesn't mean everyone can do or will want to the fast line. Not everyone was hitting the same lines as Eli in Seattle.

The factory teams have resources to have people on the stands clocking multiple riders with different lines. A privater cant. This evens the score a bit since you can run different lines during practise and then go back and look what is quicker for you.

Racing is racing, that 2-5 tenths that you "save" by going in the fastest line is removed by racing condition and track breaking down.

So i disagree it has any huge impact on the events in the evening show.

I dont think Tomac needed litpro or dartfish (dark?) to find the fast way around the track in the main at Seattle.

Add mono-shock suspension to the list of things to do away with.

There was riders like Webb and Grant using Litpro also in Seattle. We have used the LitPro since it was introduced and it is an amazing training tool both for line choices and start training.

or for 130 bucks one can do 75% of what a litpro does.

I love collecting ride data as well.

Doesn't take a litpro to see Tickle took the wrong line when Dungey blew by him with the inside rut choice.

I like litpro, its not like the riders can see it in a race... so the hate for it is unwarranted

I bought a Lit pro, but my lap time data was depressing.

I think I need a sundial for my lap times instead...

Hmmmm.... is it as accurate? What are the drawbacks compared to a litpro? Just the live feed stuff and the info graphics?

Thanks. For me the Garmin above does all that I want and then some. As a riding tool, I use laptimes to gauge my performance and to chase chase down competitors via data. At this time I am rehabbing a serious injury and it is encouraging to see myself getting back up to speed each and every ride at my favorite racetracks. Hopefully I will be back to pre-injury speed by June, my goal.
