Here is a craigslist find if there is one. A friend of mine picked up this bike a few years ago and now has decided to let someone else enjoy it. He ran it with different plastic on it while he rode it and put the original plastic that came on the bike when he got it. It will be a nice bike for someone wanting to collect it or ride it. Check it out!

And I always thought it was called MDX and they made car speakers. I even had the graphics on my CRF 450 -04.

That is a good looking bike, at what appears to be at least, a very fair price. 07ish 450s up here are about 3-3.5k, if i found one for 1k more with a kit, and all those other goodies, it would be in the truck in a flash! hope your buddy finds a good buyer.

It's MTX that makes car speakers, so you're still wrong.

Now when you say it I remember. It was 10 years ago so the memory is pretty vague.

Was his name Mark Kvamme?

Lot of little articles about the venture capitalist on the inter nets.

I don't think Kvamme himself went broke, just MDK Motorsports.

To me a bike like that is way hard to price. I feel like the sum of it's parts are probably worth more than the bike together.

No, Mark Kvamme is far from broke, but like any venture capitalist, if it's not producing, you cut it off.

His problem is that he didn't realize that MX teams without good sponsorship's, don't make money.

Mark D. Kvamme (MDK). Great guy. Venture Cap who cut off a losing proposition. Donated an RM-Z450 to our OTHG raffle one year. The club donated a buttload of $$ from the raffle sales to RiderDown.

Funny story about Wey and that bike, (with mix and match red and white plastic) He would show up on a Thursday afternoon practice at Cahuilla, during the hottest part of the day, in a beat up little chevy S10 truck.

While that wasn't unusual, the fact that he drove up to the track fully dressed in his riding gear, including helmet and goggles and boots!

Nick would get out of his tiny truck fully geared up, do an amazingly fast 45 minute moto in the blazing summer high desert heat, load up and head out, all while never taking his helmet off !

LMAO. That's the definition of a renaissance man! Or is it Quoxitesque? Same difference. Dude marches to his own beat--as we all should.
