OK, I was talking with my wife this morning, and showing her the latest Eli photo where he had 13 Monster logos on his ride, I started telling her of past title sponsors, i.e. Miller HighLife, Coors, Camel, EA Sports, and now Monster. Each, save for EA Sports, is not the healthiest of products, and ultimately reach their demise. So what industry could be a potential next step as a title sponsor for the sport. Don't read any negativity into my post, I like that Monster is dumping tons of money into our sport, it's just that history shows there will be a next step. I just hope it's someone with big pockets.

Sprint or Verizon
Judging by the popularity of hand held media, you may be on to something. They would surely connect up a live stream for the races as part of the program.

I wonder how long this energy drink craze lasts..

It's been what, almost ten years they've been funding a decent amount of the industry.

I think it'll be Monster for a little while yet. After that who knows? Red Bull? Lucas Oil? They already have involvement in the sport, I think it will be a brand that's already involved in the sport that ups their involvement rather than a somebody completely new coming in as a title sponsor

I like the Verizon/Sprint idea but Gopro is already heavily involved as well as Red bull so those make sense too.

Red Bull would be interesting just by the fact that they already have Red Bull TV. FS1 plus Red Bull TV streaming would be sweet. Television is changing / evolving right in front of our eyes. As others have pointed out Go Pro is another potential, but I don't think they have the financial pockets yet.

This would be an interesting column for racer x or one of the mags to do. You're forgetting THQ by the way and maybe others.

Boost mobile did it but the company went kaput. Sprint sponsored nascar so their contribution to sx would be a drop in the bucket.

There is no way it would be Sprint. Their company was taken over by a guy from Colombia who isn't re-upping with NASCAR for 2017 because he wants to bring MLS to Miami. Hence the David Beckham commercials. I'm hoping we somehow get Target or FedEx or valvoline or nationwide insurance or something along those lines

Sprint isn't doing NASCAR anymore because they don't have the funding for it. They are doing massive cutbacks in order to grow their network. Marcelo and Beckham are friends. Hence why he was in the commercials. He did the commercials for free. The MLS to Miami had nothing to do with them dropping out of NASCAR.

Of all the sponsors currently involved and the legacy of involvement, I could see Honda or Toyota stepping up due to the recent market expansion and commercial/television involvement. Ford trucks dabbled in the sport on a few occasions. That's where I'm thinking the market could go with recent changes and expansion accomplished by Feld.

I remember hearing numbers thrown around back in 2012 & it didn't seem like a ton of money for what Monster got; however, that was back when "Speed Channel" was covering things and CBS showed a few "live to tape" events...Feld has taken the TV pkg a long way since then.

So, I'm guessing Feld see's the value of the series "Title Sponsor" going up and with their latest demo's they may have the ability to draw broader interest from companies interested in the new/expanding exposure Feld has achieved.

But, I could be wrong.

I get your point. But I dont see energy drinks going away. Even though they should, theyre absolutely horrible for you. But that's up to the consumer to wisen up. Cigarettes & Alcohol may not be allowed to advertise, but they are still thriving industries that havent gone anywhere.

If Feld is able to continue the growth of the TV package, you could see some big boys brought in that are typical of other mainstream motorsports. That's where I'd bet.

- Insurance
- Telecommunications
- Pharmaceuticals
- Banks

Ironically, 3 of those 4 industries do more damage to society than the energy drinks.

The demographic would be perfect for Facebook, Twitter or Google to sponsor.

I could definitely see GoPro being the title sponsor of Monster ever quits. Are the pro Canadian nationals sponsored by Rockstar Energy?

I remember Vitamin Water dabbing into the sene when it first started out so I wonder if a bigger company like Gatorade or something would ever think about it? Do you think one of the bike manufacturers would ever be the title sponsor?

Interesting question, for sure.

Hey, I agree. We need them for the sport right now, and I do think they'll be around for a while longer. However, it is inevitable that they will one day leave and someone else will take over. And I only brought this up because most sponsors seem to have a lifespan in this sport and the energy drinks have been here for a while. Just curious as to who could or would be the most logical or likely replacement.

I could see no major title sponsor but each round being a separately sponsored event from companies within the industry.

FMF atlanta supercross round

Fox San Diego supercross round etc...

In all honesty, who knows???
Hopefully monster sticks around for a bit longer.
