I just listened to the Shift Intro slideshow, sounds like they are $220 and on the high end of the low end category. So with that in mind, it's a great deal and does look much much better than every other $200 boot available.

This is like asking what people think about the Tech 3. Nobody cares. It's a price point boot. Now when Shift releases a $500+ premium boot to compete with the Tech 10, SG-12, Instinct, people may care.

Am I the only person that feels like Instincts are not in the same category as Crossfire SRS, SG12 and Astars? They aren't junk by no means but Sidi and SG12s just feel a notch above. Haven't worn Astars in awhile.

I am right there with you. Sidi, Tech 10 and SG12 are the Mercedes, BMW, and Audi of the MX boot world.

Best boots I ever owned/rode in were the fox forma pro's I had the james Stewart edition ones with the zeebra print on the inside...for fit and feel of the bike I've never had a better set of boots.

I disagree. I have instincts and just recently borrowed some sg12s to try out. I don't feel like the SG12 is in a different category. I haven't ever worn Tech 10s or any Sidi boots so I can't comment on them.

I wore Fox instinct for a few seasons and I thought they were amazing. My problem is that I'd need at least 2 sets if not 3 per season because they got soft so fast.

I'm now wearing SG12s and they feel like they are holding stiffness longer.

Yeah there were only 2 problems.. they lasted like 10 rides and didn't give ankle any protection in any direction.
Feel with bike was great but after i broke ankle with them been using stiff boots like Alpine*10.
