whats a good price for a 2003 Yamaha YZ125 ?
I wouldn't think more than a couple of grand, less probably

oh yeah, cygnus is gonna tell you to avoid Yamaha's like the plague but don't listen to him. You can't go wrong with one but I think in 2005 they went aluminum frame and then in 2006 the kayaba sss suspension was a step up as well.

Anywhere from $1200 to $1500 isnt a bad deal depending on the condition of the bike.

The YZ125 with the Aluminum frame is a good bike. An RM125 will be faster and corner better though.

THANKS

and wats the diffrence between a yz and a ttr .
That is NOT a 2003 YZ125. It is a 2000 or 2001 model, quite a bit different. Dont bother arguing with the owner, people are retards and dont know what that have got yet are quite often adiment about it

probably a good deal if its in decent shape. if your just starting, anything will work. remember oil in your gas.
id just buy some closeout gear on a website such as motosport.com
watch lots and lots of dirtbike videos. if you watch them repetitively youll start to pick up on what to do.
good luck and welcome to the most expensive and addicting sport known to mankind.

Should be easy to find a seamstress on Craigslist if you need them taken in.

One more thing.

You need to start out on a two stroke. Being new to the sport, you maintenance skills can't be up to par. A four stroke will fail in a heart beat if not properly maintained. Two strokes are much tougher, and will take much more abuse.

I got my son a 2003 YZ 125 for $1,000. My friend bought himself a 2006 YZ 125 for $1,200.
