Decided to treat myself and buy a new toyhauler for the wife and I.

2016 hold over jayco octane.

We went with a little smaller one cause we don't really need a massive one. And the camping we do isn't exactly campground camping. So I didn't want something so long that I can't get where I want.

Will post more interior pictures if wanted.

Are you camping at Hemingway Butte? If so, my dad is out there right now, too.

Thanks guys. We will be using it the first time next weekend. Still probably going to be pretty chilly. Just getting out of a nasty Idaho winter.

I will take a bunch of interior pics this weekend and post them. Our HOA says no campers/camp trailers parked overnight. (I know it's really stupid and a giant pain in the rear)

Very well done sir. I think you made the right call on the size.
I've have several friends who have bought the giant 45' foot long 14' high 16K lb toy haulers and were ready to sell a year later. Just too massive to pull around, enjoyably, even with the right tow vehicle.

Nice, is this your first trailer/rv? Don't forget to use the blue stuff in your grey tank as well as the black to keep it smelling fresh and new. Also, get some of those toilet mints from a janitorial supply to place strategically around to keep the critters from moving in. Critters love to chew up the insides.

This is our second trailer but first toy hauler.

And thanks for the heads up about the toilet mints.

That's the perfect size. Nice score man. The layout is awesome.

I despise HOA's! The one parents are in does nothing and keeps raising the rates. You aren't supposed to park in the streets yet its a literal parking lot. They just collect money and do little to enforce the rules that shouldn't be there to begin with.

That was the number one thing for me... no HOA on my house.

Thanks. We quite like it so far.

And our HOA Is just stupid. Many people in the neighborhood were grandfathered in with the RV rule. But our house is one of the newest in the neighborhood so we got screwed. They also say we can only park it on our property for 3 hrs max. I can tell you already. That's not going to be followed. That's just not phesable sometimes.

For summer travel I'm not hauling a bike (other than my mountain bike), so it's all travel trailer. But here's my current setup...

sweet set up.. we have a 22' rockwood. same thinking on going bigger. I can have it loaded and rolling with bike etc. in 15 minutes. 5500lbs with full gear/water for race weekends. f150 pulls 9000lbs. cruises nice down the roads.
family loves chilling out and goin to the camp slash races. is it summer yet?Whistling

That's a pretty sweet setup there Gibby. Does the tundra do pretty well pulling? I've heard they're pretty impressive for a half ton.

Ours is 22 also. We're going to have two bikes and a rzr most of the time. By my math we will be right around 9000 pounds. Which my powerstroke shouldn't even bat an eye at. I used to have an F-150 King Ranch which I absolutely loved. But the diesel kind of got my attention it's turned into another hobby of mine.

If I remember right, that's a state park north of Wilson, KS.

It does fine. The only thing I did was add airbags and a leveling kit.

It's getting a new set of brake rotors and shoes all the way around next week. I'm starting prep for next summer's tour.

Very nice. For your airbags do you have an on board compressor? I'm really thinking about going that route and seeing people's opinion

That is a sweet campground. Does it have power at the lot or off the grid? That is the perfect setup for what you do, if I was travelling alone, I would swap mine out for something like that.

OP, the new RV's have such awesome interiors, enjoy it.

To the guy with the toilet mints...do you put the mints only in the toilets to keep critters out or do you put them in corners and lockers?

That's a nice size, not too big and the bedroom in front so you don't have to unload bikes to sleep.
