If they shave 15 pounds of the Suzuki but keep it basically the same, that would be sick. Im like 90% sure the engineers could take 30lbs off if they wanted, but with the weight limits they just arent interested.

They should keep the same plastics thoughGrinning

Do the Japanese nationals start this weekend? Total guess, but I wondered if that could be what Keefer is hinting at.

EDIT: I found a calendar on the Japanese Kawasaki website, and it appears the first round is on the 4th of April. Guess my theory is out.

Yeah, it starts on 4th April. First round, HSR (Honda Safety Riding) Kumamoto.

The CRF better be ktm FE good. With hrc back in the game there is no reason a world class CRF shouldn't be in every Honda dealer around.

So were Honda , KTM and Kawasaki supposed to come out with something new this year? I had heard a possible new KX250F. Wonder if Yamaha will shave down the bulk a little on the YZF's?

I hope honda brings that new bike to market, I was planning to get one. Of they dont, I'll just buy a leftover 2016. My 07 is really feeling the age at this point

Kawi will update the 250 to match the current 450. Honda is supposed to have their all new 450 and KTM is suppose to update their 250 smoker similar to what the 125 and 150 got last year.

My guess is the new KTM 250 but there have been very strong rumors of new YZ's. Yamaha was testing new 2-stroke motors last year. There have also been rumors of a new KX 125 in 17 or 18 and a RM 125 in 2018.

I cannot find anything except the new CRF 450 from the Japan Nationals and the KX 250F will be new.

Cannot wait to see the new bikes!

new 4 pipe design on the Honda, BNG on Suzuki. KTM limited edition below minimum weight for 99.9% of racers where there is no stupid ama rules. Sideways engine in Yamaha. Kawaki changes colors to blue and Yamaha goes red and white.
