I'm sure someone is already doing the math.
Is there a website or link where the total points are combined for sx/Mx.

I noticed that on pulpmx and RacerX that they were talking about this and that number 13 is open for next year. But that is Nelson's number and he keeps it (all the best to him of course!)

Maybe I heard/read that wrong...

I don't think it's a matter of Nelson "losing" his number is it? Isn't it more one of those deals where the numbers are routinely changing based on points accumulated and 13 would be available as a permanent number if someone wanted to pick it right?

Ok, that makes sense.

Nelson's 13 was his national number for 2016 that he got from points. He didn't earn a career number (wasn't in the top 10 overall points) so 13 isn't permanent.

Based on the list above it looks like Forkner would have #13 in 2017 unless he chooses to skip it (which you're allowed to do since it's known as an unlucky number) and go to #23 or the next available number if AP or AMart take 23 as their career number.

17 will most likely open up too assuming CW chooses a single digit so Forkner could end up with that.

Does Forker have to pick a new number or can he keep his until this time next fall when he gets #1.

17 is a great number, been many great riders that have used it to jump up to a single digit.

Not sure who this Forker guy is, but Forkner* can't run 214 considering he scored enough points for a 2 digit national number. He will for sure get 13,17,23, or 26 as his 2017 National Number depending on if CW chooses a single digit, what career numbers Alex and Aaron choose, and whether or not he wants to skip unlucky 13.

Some people should really take 5 minutes to educate themselves on how the AMA number system works...

It's won a championship every year since 2011
