Just for a comparison of results.

My guess is that it would be vastly improved over the 125 and drive home the point of how ridiculous the displacement rules are.

Maybe Newmann can fund this experiment.

He has been a pro for years now. I assume you can find his past results on a four stroke............

No. We need the rules changed so he can race his YZ250.

The problem is everyone who has any say know how ridiculous the rules are and that is exactly how they want them. The MFG's would be stoked if 2 strokes just completely disappeared, then they would only have to build one bike for each class. Even though only Yamaha and KTM still market and sell a two stroke line I am pretty sure they would be happy if two strokes disappeared as well. That way they only have to concentrate on one bike for each class and all the R&D and sales goes into their 4 stroke line.

The good thing is that there is enough of demand for some MFG's to keep their 2 stroke line up and some even update them. If pro racing wont allow cc vs cc then so be it. At least we know the reason why, the 4 strokes are inferior and need the advantage.
