Ye but the hotdogs outside and around the stadium in toronto are pretty amazing, haha, the polish ones if i remember clearly are the best....lived in TO for a little bit for school, decent city.

Besides that, the only other rounds i have been to are Orlando and Daytona. Orlando is gone now, but daytona is quite something, although from the sounds of it you'll like phoenix.

Good morning friends, and happy Thanksgiving!

For some reason, the Houston SX got bumped back to April. We don't want to wait that long so I am thinking of taking my son to one of the other races.

I am looking for a SX where there might be a hotel next to the race venue so we can keep our travel costs down. And it would be even better if there was public transportation or a shuttle to the hotel. I have enough air miles to fly us two anywhere so thats not a barrier.

What do you folks recommend? Below are the options:

Phoenix, AZ 01.16.10
Anaheim, CA 01.23.10
San Francisco, CA 01.30.10
San Diego, CA 02.06.10
Anaheim, CA 02.13.10
Indianapolis, IN 02.20.10
Atlanta, GA 02.27.10
Toronto, Ontario 03.13.10
Dallas, TX 03.20.10
I have been to several and St Louis offers a great arena.

Last year TP designed and raced the track

Indoor pits are huge

Nearby casinos to stay in

Lite rail system to get to the stadium

Atlanta is my 2nd choice. I travel there once in a while so I am familiar with their wonderful airport and Marta.

I am intersted in Phoenix because most of the riders should still be healthy.

If we go to Phoenix......

Fly into PHX - Free on frequent Flier miles
Take the light rail to 7th and Van Buren for $3.50
Stay at Americas Best Value Inn for $70, one block from light rail and .7 mile to Chase Field
Sit down low to watch practices, sit up a bit higher for othe race (maybe mid level?)

Thats looking like a pretty good option!

Don't buy midlevel tickets!! Take my excellent advice and shop until you can get in the first 5-10 rows of the upper level.....FRONT row upper level if you can find it.

Other than the skyboxes, they're the best seats in the entire place. Others here will be along to support my statements.

BTW, they're also about $20 cheaper, if I recall correctly.

Rocket go to Brisvegas an get an education for the both of you.

Ytou know you would love it and it would change both of your lives forever, plus you would really enjoy the racing and never forget it.

You could report to Tony and Bobby on what to expect next year. It is only money.

Thanks for the advice on the seats on PHX. Sometimes here in Houston several people will get together and get a box. Do you know if that happens in PHX? Is there a local bulliten board I can hop on to see if folks are interested?

I also thought about seeing if I could get some tickets from a local Yamaha dealer. They usually give the dealerships good seats and you get pit passes as well.

I appreciate the other siggestions. We may try a different avenue each year and start a new tradition!

BobbyM, See you in PHX and I drink Bud.
