Some of this seems eerily familiar...

"In the last two days, we’ve seen Brandon Browner, Jermaine Cunningham, Eric Wright and Richard Sherman all suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. Hours later, word will come out from a “source” that Adderall — an attention deficit disorder medication — was the cause for the failed test. So why are so many players taking Adderall? Chances are, they’re not. Adderall is a convenient excuse for a failed performance enhancing drug suspension. Mike Florio of Pro Football talk touched on this trend way back in August, but the trend has continued. The drug would trigger a failed test, but it wouldn’t tarnish a players’ reputation the same way that steroids or HGH would. Plenty of people take Adderall, and the simple excuse that the medication caused a failed test doesn’t include whether or not it was prescribed. Adderall is actually allowed by the NFL if it is prescribed by a doctor. The drug is banned by the NFL because it can be used as an amphetamine."

"Either way, Adderall provides players with a convenient strategy for avoiding the stigma of steroids. The fact that league can say nothing about the facts and circumstances surrounding the suspension allows the players to say whatever they want."

Could it be that the reason for the seemingly harsh penalty is because......you fill in the blank.

If it truly was because of an Adderall TUE mistake, the penalty is much too stiff.

70 players anti doping... most received 4 games and it's a team sport not a one man operation....

Suzuki and James should collectively have to pay fines, that's all....
That's not how it works though. If a single player/athlete fails a drug test he get's a suspension. If a single player in a teamsport fails a drug test he gets a personal suspension, if more than a certain percent of the players fail the drug test or systematic doping can be proven points and or disqualification of the team will be in order. In this case, James Stewart is the team. Other than that, your thread seems to be going well for you. And Wikipedia is not a reliable source.

I heard on the DP show that if an athlete releases inaccurate information regarding their test then the league or whatever organization can then go public with details about the case. So if James says it's adderall but it was actually blood doping or HGH then the FIM could say publicly that it wasn't adderall. Not saying that's the case, just interesting info I heard.

AHAHA I agree.....

It actually reduces reaction time, severely impairs performance, such as rapid muscle breakdown and elevated body temperature!

Jeez why is it so hard for people to understand that the NFL owners and the NFLPA negotiated what the penalties would be under collective bargaining...In layman's terms that means the players gave up something to gain something and the owners gave up something to get something.....Big time apples and oranges...now if you want to compare....compare it with olympic sports and you will see that the penalties are more in line...

Not enough money.....32 teams with 53 man rosters plus practice squads for each team contributing raises big money that can be very influential....SX/MX has less than 20 guys that could afford to contribute and maybe 2-4 that could contribute anything near NFL player amounts...

Aldon is the king of this shit. Look at the sport he came from. Its not surprising RV has the stigma around him. Alot of top riders are on things. RC should be able to vouch Cool

Yes but as long as there is no proof it is speculation. I remember people saying maybe James left Aldon because he refused to use PEDs that Aldon was pushing. Well look what just happened.....That was also just speculation, Without proof it all is.

OK, I'm going all-in. It's an Energy drink conspiracy. Monster World GP Motocross needed their sponsored rider (RV) to cross the pond. They own the FIM, so they "fake" a failed drug test of RV. But they only tell RV. His get out of jail free card is to cross the pond and race the GP's, but he'd have to forgo the US Nationals to reduce interest in the series ...(I can hear RV saying "ouch my knee").

Meanwhile, Monster needs to take a bite out of Red Bull sales. And what better way, than to tarnish (most likely end) the career of one of Red Bull's most popular athletes. JS7 fails the test. For extra drama, WADA and the FIM take their time for the ruling. Tick tock, tick tock. Why? So when, JS7 appeals there will be no time. He'd most likely miss the entire Monster FIM Supercross season.

So, in a nutshell, this kind of activity hasn't been seen since AH tried to take his show global in the 1930's. The fact that this Energy drink conspiracy (detailed above) came out of Europe validates it.

Monster/FIM have taken over the European theater, North America in the works, rest of the world on deck. World domination baby!

They're not part of WADA or USADA, it's all Union contracts. Can't compare them really.

Oh good lord. Really people? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but is moto the only sport most of y'all follow?

As a few have already stated... NFLPA.

They do not adhere to the international drug testing standards aka USADA or WADA but they do work with USADA on research.
